November 14, 201114 yr Obviously, if LSU and Oklahoma St. win out, they're in it. Of course, its conceivable that Oklahoma beat Oklahoma St., and also conceivable Arkansas beats LSU, but lets just say for a second that LSU wins and Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St. Which one loss team gets a crack at the title? Alabama or Oregon who have already played them? Oklahoma? Does another team sneak up?
November 14, 201114 yr I'm hoping for LSU and OSU to both win out so we have a close to true NC as possible.

November 14, 201114 yr I know your making assumptions here but I'm not sold that Oregon will get past USC. To the OP, I say Bama gets in.
November 14, 201114 yr Anyone but Oklahoma. I don't think any team who loses at home to a 30 point underdog deserves a chance to play for the national title.
November 14, 201114 yr Anyone but Oklahoma. I don't think any team who loses at home to a 30 point underdog deserves a chance to play for the national title. Agreed. OU would be my biggest gripe. I'd even stomach a SEC rematch before that.
November 14, 201114 yr Unless the pollsters blatantly move Oklahoma ahead of Alabama, it will be Alabama if Oklahoma State stumbles to Oklahoma. Oregon has already had the biggest win they are going to get, and they'll likely fall back behind Oklahoma in the computers (in which they're still only tied) in this scenario. Alabama is still ahead of Oregon in all but one of the seven computers and in both the human polls. Alabama has the SEC factor working for them, fair or not. Both they and Alabama would be having a rematch, so the human pollsters would probably not jump Oregon ahead of Bama based on that. The sole factor I believe to be working in Oregon's favor is that they would be a conference champion while Alabama would not be.
November 14, 201114 yr Unfortunately it would be Alabama. Already seen that one - mediocre to poor QB play, unimaginative play-calling, poor kicking. Ugh.
November 14, 201114 yr Or defense's were really good,^^^ We have yet to give up more than 14 points, our defense is on par as being the best since 1974Sooners. Did you watch the game? Most folks are saying it beats 45-40 games.
November 14, 201114 yr Okl St beats Okl then it's LSU/Okl St. Okl state loses and it's LSU/Bama. I think LSU/Bama are the best two teams in the country but LSU/Okl St and Bama/Okl or Bama/Oregon would be fun matchups going into the game. Ark/Stanford would be a shootout in another bowl.
November 14, 201114 yr Author Does Alabama lose some luster only playing Georgia Southern this week? Does an Oregon win over USC vault them over Bama?
November 14, 201114 yr Author I know your making assumptions here but I'm not sold that Oregon will get past USC. To the OP, I say Bama gets in. USC's defense starts almost entirely freshmen and sophomores. While it would certainly make my day, I can't see them containing those Oregon weapons.

People are allowed to have differing opinions than your's AL. Regardless, I want to see it again, because then Bama fans won't have any excuses when the Tigers beat them a 2nd time.
