November 21, 201114 yr Since none of the other "major" conferences have been able to compete much with the SEC rep, why not give a Houston or Boise a crack at it? Because it will be a blowout? Other than last year's game, that wouldn't make it any different from the rest of the BCS Title games over the last 5 years.
November 21, 201114 yr ^Why does a 1 loss Boise team deserve a crack at it over a 1 loss Oklahoma State or a 1 loss VaTech, or Oregon, or .....
November 21, 201114 yr ^Why does a 1 loss Boise team deserve a crack at it over a 1 loss Oklahoma State or a 1 loss VaTech, or Oregon, or ..... Who said anything about them deserving it? I've just seen the SEC dominate all the other major conferences on the biggest stage. We know how that story plays out. I'd like to see something different. That's all.
November 21, 201114 yr ^You're about to....When was the last time we saw an SEC team vs. SEC team for the title. About the only way to guarantee a good game, right?
November 21, 201114 yr Houston is not in a BCS conference and there is no way this can happen. Houston needs to move to the Big 12, then if they are 11-0 it can. Their conference is the problem. There is a reason Boise State has never played for the Championship, can you guess why?^^^^
November 21, 201114 yr ^You're about to....When was the last time we saw an SEC team vs. SEC team for the title. About the only way to guarantee a good game, right? That, or send an average SEC team with Cam Newton under center. LSU and Alabama is a done deal if they take care of business, which I believe they will. Arkansas could muddle it up a little, but I still think it should be two of those three. But, generally, things don't play out where two teams from the same conference is positioned to be in the big game. In that case, I'd just as soon see Boise State over some Pac-10, Big 12 or Big 10 team.
November 21, 201114 yr It should be LSU against Houtson. The best QB against the best defense. What has Keenum done to make anyone consider him the "best QB"? Other than face a bunch of crappy teams that UK could even beat.

November 21, 201114 yr If LSU wins out there should be no National Championship game as the Tigers will have beaten all the greats already once... 1996...only difference was that UF lost @ FSU during the regular season.
November 21, 201114 yr Randy, I don't make the rules if LSU loses they will not jump back ahead of the Hogs and Bama, just isn't fair but they lost and had a chance to win, Bama lost and won three (if we beat Auburn), Now what you say comes true and the Hogs beat LSU then we play LSU thats fine with me, but what does the Hogs say? If Arkansas were to beat LSU & then Georgia, then they would automatically have to get to the title game simply because they would be the SEC champs. That would likely leave LSU & Alabama, and of those two, LSU gets the nod for me.
November 21, 201114 yr Randy, there is no Automatic bid to the National Championship game, no conference has a tie in to it. If the SEC did, what would the other conference say? How fair would that be? PAC12 Big 12 ACC Big 10 Big East. If the Hogs beat LSU the BCS ranking come into play you have a three way tie. The team with the highest ranking plays Georgia, so the Hogs would have to leap over Bama who beat the Hogs by 24 points. So there is no way the Hogs are in the SEC game, they lost to Bama. They have discussed this all day.
November 21, 201114 yr ^They absolutely would jump Bama....If that's the reasoning, there's no way Bama can be ranked higher than LSU, the Tigers beat them @Bama.
November 21, 201114 yr ^^OK so who plays in the BCSCG? The Hogs who lost to Bama by 24? The computer won't give it that way. Bama has won three times since we lost to LSU, LSU has no more games, Don't you people watch TV? If the Hogs win we go to the SECCG, we are pulling for LSU so they have to play an extra game and could lose, we sit back and watch. And we are in.
