I've been going to games at Highlands for 33 years now, and tonight was the first time in all of those years that I saw the police get called into the grandstand.

Some clown was showing his classless attitude when Sheehan got hurt , and a former LB from HHS decided to shut him up . No big deal, but the genius from JC didn't know who he was messing with !! Afterwards me and the brothers had a good laugh !! Like I said , it was no big deal !!

Some JC fans were standing toe to toe with some Highlands fans. Police played it very cool and their presence cooled things down. The JC fan behind us was not satisfied with all of the holding calls on the field. He complained about something on every play. He was so preposterous it was actually entertaining.

 

BTW, the late hit call when the JC player recovered a fumble, was also bogus. The Highlands player saw the ball on the ground and dove for it. The JC player saw the ball first and secured it while the Highlands player was in the air. I suppose that in Lexington they equip their players with air brakes.

 

I have never before seen a team overcome major penalties with such ease. It went from first or second and long to first down in a couple of throws to open receivers. Had to be frustrating to JC players. I have never seen Towles play better.

 

Jude is a nice player, but sure is no Vocke.

You are spot on, unless the JC guys last name was ALI then that guy was messing with the wrong guy. That former LB is getting pretty old to be telling people to shut up isnt he.......:jump:

Maybe N. Ky. officials are the ones who are calling holding differently ... or not calling it perhaps?

Highlands blocking technique has been an issue for opposing coaches for yrs. The sad thing is they complain about it and then after they review it on film they know they were wrong and the block is legal.

The NKY refs now know its legal because they too thought it was illegal at first and then they were delivered several films of HHS being called for this blocking scheme and after reviewing the films the NKY crew chiefs were in 100% agreement that they were wrong and the block is very legal. This was about 8 yrs ago and nobody in NKY calls it because why should they.

 

The problem with playoff games is that the out of region refs didnt get the invite to the film party. :thumb:
