It was the rookies. Don't know if they were all freshmen.

Have to say, that was a pretty sad performance by the officiating crew. Highlands has been called for holding just a few times this year. They were called for holding seven times...in the first half.

 

Same thing at the Beechwood game tonight. Where were the officials at the Highlands game from? I believe I heard them say the Beechwood crew was from Louisville. Maybe they call holding differently or more frequently in Louisville? :idunno:

These guys were from Lexington.

 

I doubt if we'll ever see them again. They took a pretty bad berating from the fans -- especially from the crow's nest.

Maybe a 100yds or so I would say...I think JC actually threw it 3 or 4 times tonight..Highlands didn't punt the ball all night..

Not a bunch. Highlands D line was intense

That and there was zero threat of the pass. You know what your going to face in the playoffs, yet you only avg 38 passing yards a game? Matney's ego and efforts to get Jude the record truly cost his team a.y chance to compete tonight. That team ran only 1 man play action routes? You can't do that and expect to have much success against Highlands. He had a she year to remedy that and didn't.

I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings again, I know how sensitive you can be...

Problem is not just that it was a flag happy crew, it's that it was flag happy on one side. On one of Bruns bursts into the backfeild he was tackled from behind by the center just as he was about to arrive at the ball. Never in any game, at any level, has there been a more blatant hold. No Flag!

 

Highlands player decleats a defender in an open field block that springs the ballcarier. The players were yards apart and came in contact for a millisecond before the defender went sprawling. Picture perfect open field block. Holding!

 

Johson Central ballcarrier is going upfield near his own sideline. Highlands defender hits him inbounds and both carry out of bounds as they fall to the ground. Flag! Personal foul. Late hit. A late freaking hit on a ballcarrier who is in bounds.

Where were the Refs from?
