Dog Breeds

I absolutely LOVE Basset Hounds! We're on our second, they're great dogs. If I were a younger guy, I'd get myself either a Catahoula Leopard dog or a Blue Heeler. They have too much energy for me at this stage in my life, but they are both awesome, cool dogs.

I am and always will be partial to Siberian Huskies. We have 3 and they stay indoors. They are like 3 more kids we raise. One is 9(female, gray and white), one is 7(male, red) and the other is about 18 months(male, black and white and still a puppy). beautiful and awesome dogs with a great demeanor. They can and will run like the wind if they get loose. They demand daily walks but are the most lovable dogs ever. I'll never own a dog that isn't a husky.

Big fan of German Shorthair Pointers.

Same here. Low maintenence, high energy and very smart. I'd pretty much say Remy is the most athletic dog I've ever had. He's a freak!

Chocolate Labs are great dogs. Loving and loyal.

My uncle had one of these when I was a kid. Fantastic dog. Maybe not as cuddly as my golden mix, though.

Beautiful dog LC.

We have a Brittany. Great dog. Excellent in the field and pretty darn good in the house.

Had two Vizslas before the Brit. Vs are gorgeous dogs and the most athletic breed I've ever been around. But they demand a huge amount of exercise. They are also called "velcro" dogs for good reason. They cling right to you and never leave your side. Which can be quite irritating at times.

I do miss the short, clean coat of the V however. It's a pain getting out all the burrs of the Brit's coat.

Golden Retievers and Beagles...

Daisy was a rescue dog that we lost to cancer about 6 years ago. She was wonderful, smart, devoted, family dog....who was very independent, yet, very much a part of the family.

Molly, our Beagle is also a rescue dog. She is a wonderful dog....she loves to be held, scared of everything, funny, great with family, has to sleep in the bed with a pillow....must wear clothes LOL....she is totally different then Daisy was. She is not independent at all, needs a lot of attention.....

These are my favorite two types of dogs. Different personalities, however, very lovable!!!

Lucky Charms, here's my new baby girl, 10 months old named Maggie. She passed out last night as I was lamenting my Steelers' issues.
