Campbell County played a soft first half but came out in the second half and Tyler Druham single handedly drove the ball down the field and beat up the Ryle defense, I think it is a great win for Campbell County. The celebration was a little excessive, doing what they did after the game. Evidently one can tell they have not won the district in a few years. None the less, congrats. As for the coaches not knowing what down in was at the end of the game, like I posted earlier, don't assume anything of the sort.

The celebration was a little excessive? What are you talking about? Did they pull the goal posts down and I missed it? The majority of their celebration took place off the field on the track in front of the visitor bleachers not on the Ryle field. So Campbell distanced themselves from Ryle who remained on the field. By moving the Camels on to the track, Coach L gave the Ryle players a little breathing room so they weren't just 30 yards away listening to his victory speech to his players. I also didn't hear any disparaging cheers from the boys against Ryle. After that I mainly heard them singing the school fight song (although they really don't know all the words....LOL...they just keep singing the parts they know over and over.)

As long as the Camels were not taunting Ryle any celebration would be acceptable based on it being 31 years and after an 0-5 start.

Regarding the celebration of CCHS, I see nothing wrong with it. Here is a team that was 0-5 going into district, picked to finish last in the pre-season poll, going to the reigning district champs place and beat. In my opinion they fully deserved to celebrate! Also, they wanted to celebrate with their friends and family so that is why they went to the sidelines. I don't think it has anything to do with how long it has been since winning a district championship but how hard they have had to work for it.

I completely agree, they didn't do anything unprofessional.

No doubt. I guess this shows that one key skilled player, especially at QB, along with the right coaching strategy can make a huge difference in high school football. The flip side of this would be Simon Kenton's downfall this year since the graduation of Lawrence.

What a odd year in NKY 6A.

Several teams with very high expectations (Ryle / Dixe / even SK)

and things don't go as planned, (T. E. injury @ Ryle among other things).

CC had been written off after a couple of early losses...

Obviously great coaching and team chemistry.

Still a long road for the NKY 6A schools to make noise in the playoffs.
