Couldn't be happier. It's been a long time coming for the Camels. Anyone know when the last district football title was out in Alexandria, if ever?

 

I'm not certain, but if I had to guess, I would say it's been quite a while. The last time I can remember them having a really solid season was back when Greg Menetry was the runningback in the '94 season and didn't win the district. They put up a very tough fight against Boone when they had Alexander his senior year. I believe that Campbell finished with only one loss in the regular season to Boone that year.

Heard after the game that it has been 31 years since a district title!

Ironic that Ryle loses on a play where they passed the ball.

Now that is impressive. Those kids have been thirsty out there for yrs and yrs. Now is the time Camels, this is as good of a coaching staff as you are going to find, Coach Lickert and staff is going to do their part and the kids and the parents will have to buy into the program and not be afraid to tast the Kool Aid. LOL

Does this mean the Red Devils will now come and play for Coach Lickert?

My friend that I was with from Alexandria was ecstatic, I was very happy to see this for him and all of the others there. It has definitely been a long wait; don't know if I can imagine the scene tonight at Pond Creek and some of the other bars out in the county.

A blind squirrel is 1 week, the Camels have done it 3 weeks in a row, like I said, the Camels had the best team in NKY last year, and had the kids the past 3 years,but just had that jr football coaching staff, what a good staff can do is just unreal.

 

What color's the sky in your world???? :confused: They've done great in their district but let's keep it real.

WOW! Way to go southern Campbell County !! All of Campbell County now rocks. This NCC and HHS fan always said the best county for football in Ky. was Campbell. THe north is cheering the south on to victory! :thumb:

That's a great question. You just never know when things are going to start clicking with teenagers.
