And if anyone says they overly celebrated I think they need to check with Ryle's head coach to see if he was upset with the way Campbell County celebrated! I can simply say NO, he did not think Campbell County was disrespectful or inappropriate with their celebrating.

Campbell County played a soft first half but came out in the second half and Tyler Druham single handedly drove the ball down the field and beat up the Ryle defense, I think it is a great win for Campbell County. The celebration was a little excessive, doing what they did after the game. Evidently one can tell they have not won the district in a few years. None the less, congrats. As for the coaches not knowing what down in was at the end of the game, like I posted earlier, don't assume anything of the sort.

Being from Ryle I thought it was kinda neat the way coach L brought his team over to where the CC fans were for his post game talk and let the parents and fans share in a district championship. Its high school football and it is suppose to be fun. Good for coach L for remembering that last night.

Coach Lickert has unleashed a beast at QB.

 

No doubt, Durham is a load and they have to feel great about having him back next season.

I agree, it's the first time I have seen a coach do this and thought it was really nice.

BTW....Hats off to the Ryle. I cannot remember the last time that the Camels defeated the Raiders.

I am not discounting the fact that it was a good win. Was it an over reaction? I did not ask the head coach of Ryle. But this is the first time that I have ever since the opposing team jump on the benchs' of the home team a yell into the crowd. Were they taunting, doubt, but since this is the first time since 2001 that CC beat Ryle now I understand why they were very excited. District champion is a LONG way to state champion...Good Luck CC.

Whatever, there was no taunting or mean spirit behind CC's celebration. They went from 0 - 5 to winning district when NO ONE was giving them a chance. They are high school kids, it seems like you are the only one who has a problem with it. There was no intention of being disrespectful to the Ryle team nor their fans, it is called CELEBRATING with people who have supported these kids for their whole career. Like I said before the head coach of Ryle had no problem with it and actually gave props to the kids.

Agree with you dd....especially since Ryle has never won a state football championship either.
