I'd say Matt Sauerbeck is a legit player.

I should have added "that wasn't already named". Congrats to the young man from Alexandria.

You can't tell me that their is a better TE in the state than Ben Guidguli....... :mad:The kid has great hands and a motor that doesn't quite..

Do you think Guidugli should replace Gardner?

Guidugli was definitely considered at WR/TE, and may have the best hands of all TEs, but overall, Gardner won the spot.

Gardner (6'6, 250) is listed as a top 25 TE in the country. Had numerous offers and trimmed his college choices down to: Mich. St., UK, UL, WKU, and Oklahoma. And he is regarded as a better blocker than Guidugli.

Probably the most accurate all state list thats been released yet.

Ryan Tydlacka is a junior.

^ everyone can't be happy.

AMAZING:Blume nowhere to be found

Who should Blume replace at the RB position?

Blume is a good RB, but Johnson & Anderson are tough to beat.

Only one player from NKY... Congrats to Matt Sauerbeck

Great list, with a lot of talented players. Hard to assemble a list and not leave someone out, but not everyone seems to understand that a lot of very good teams, with very good players, play every single Friday throughout KY and not just within driving distance of the team they are supporting.

Not all teams play great schedules, while some play excellent competition every single weekend. Another factor is recruiting, which the colleges are not biased but they look for talent that can play at the next level, without prejudice.

Some players, albeit very good in their own right, can't move ahead of others on this list, not matter how much fans or family want them to. I've watched many good players this year and just beacuse they did or didn't make this list, means they are good, but rather they aren't better at the position of someone ahead of them.

Someone had to nominate these players, plus assembling is a thankless job and I say, well done.

Tell us more about Matt Sauerbeck. Height, Weight, Speed, and where he's going to college.

Nice list!

Very solid ballclub, IMO.

I agree 100%. I know a lot of people growl and complain about their kids or another player they like not being on there but this is the most accurate list of all the best players in KY IMO. A lot of hard work and time was put into this list so guys, swallow your pride, and give these guys some respect. They don't have to do this, but put numerous hours of time into selecting these kids. Great list. :thumb:

6 something, 2 something, and closes on the ball like a blue tick hound. :D

But seriously, be's very good and very deserving to be on the list. Their are checks and balances along the way to putting this out. At least 11 major list revisions and countless hours or debate in order to get it right. Unlike other lists, no stone is left unturned to make sure they get it right, or as close to it as is possible. How do I know? Because last year I popped off about a guy who I thought should have been on the list and then recieved an education on the process. I can tell you from first hand knowledge, that their is no bias, and no intent other than to put the 36 most deserving players in the state on the list. We have some great players in NKY who were considered but didn't make the list becuase they just didn't fit. For instance.

Drew Ellison and Sam Diehl...... great QB's but their is only room for one on the list and Justin Burke is it.

Lincoln Adams, Eric Sawyer, Corey Farris, Brent Bishop, Scotty Gray, at RB... Great players again but none will beat out the two on the list.

I could go on and on, but you see my point. Even though they are great players, they just didn't have the year or whatever to beat out the kids on the list. That is not a knock on them. Heck, I loved watching all these guys. It's just a very short list. It is not supposed to be an all inclusive list. It is supposed to be an "elite" list. The top 36 in the state. That's out of 10,000+ HS football players (50 players on a team X 200plus teams). I feel your pain for whoever the LB was you had in mind, but I can assure you, there were days and days and more days of deliberation by people who were just looking to do the right thing. If someone is not on the list, and should have been considered, I can assure you they were.

Who should Blume replace at the RB position?

Jimmy Chaffins is in as an Athlete why cant Ron .. THE STATES LEADING RUSHER...

Sounds like you received an eye-opening BGP education Sandman32.

It's nice to know that the selections are debated multiple times before being finalized, rather than casting a single ballot, mailing it in, and having it tabulated. I think it is a great list, and those players who made it should be extremely proud of being selected to such an elite group. :thumb:
