Yes overall talent is down and has been slipping over the last few years. But football talent in KY (on a national recruiting level) has been improving. Blame it on Tim Couch. He picked football as his number 1 sport and basketball as his number 2 and the state has never been the same (ha).

Start a Girls soccer and field hockey program and let them play on it.

That is alot of money to coach football and teach (or whatever the school assigns him to do). It most be one heck of a deal for him to leave.

Yes I agree that parents have guardianship over their kids but public school coaches are not getting kids those kids to play for them. I really don't the comparsion between college and high school because all d1 NCAA schools have scholarships. That makes them even in that respect. But most high schools do not have unlimited boundaries. All I am saying is that we need a level playing field. By the way I did not accuse anyone of any wrong doing.

It is not fair when Private schools have no boundaries to get players from but public schools do have boundaries. There have been schools who get in trouble because they play with a player not in their district but yet private schools are doing it all the time. I understand the boycott. Would you still be friends with someone who stole something from you? If not then you should understand the Fayette Co. Boycott. Dunbar is playing a team that does not take their players. I am not saying that I would not do the same thing if I were part of the Lex. Catholic team but it does not make fair to all other schools.

No matter what D1 program you go to there will always be competition. I say that he should stay there prove he is the player that can lead NCST.

The grades are so important especially for those who are trying to play at a level below Div. 1 or 1aa. The better grades you have the better financial package you can recieve.

There is a selection committee formed of coaches. Mr. Football is on it automatically.

That is my point. I don't think he should replace anyone. I think that it should be broken down by classifications. The BluegrassPreps team is great but only a few of the top kids get mentioned (The BEST OF THE BEST). Which I think is wonderful but you also need something else to say great job to the awesome players from some of the single A schools in EKY or WKY who don't also get the love from the all state teams. As I am looking at it here, there are too many great players in our state now to only have a few kids that make first team. For example the running back from PRP (Wes Brown) only made Honorable Mention. Now I bet if you asked the coaches who have watched the kid play how good he is, they would agree that he might have D1 talent and speed. But he was in a district that included two of 1st team all state players. Now if you broke it down where it was only 4a kids he might be 1st team also or at least 2nd team. Another example is Paul Warford from Mad. Central. He is going to play D1 football but only made Honorable Mention.
