Top Players in NKY

Dontel Rice going off for a "quiet" 25 and 10 in the opening game of the season backs up my statement that this kid could end up 9th POY. Tough matchup for ANY team in this region. By far the best athlete in NKY.

There is another athlete in NKY that I would put in the same category as Rice and that would be Tyler Bray of Lloyd. These 2 have played on the same AAU team before and have shown similar athletic ability. Bray is the better jumper and is faster and quicker off his feet. Rice has more skill and finesse and of course also gets up very high with better hang time. Tonights game with Lloyd and Holmes had these 2 going at it. Very fun to watch.

I agree. I posted in the game thread Bray might br the best defensive big man in the area. He is extremely athletic.

Rice with 24 last night in the win over Lloyd. I'm going to predict he averages 20 a game. His athleticism allows him to get a lot of tip backs off misses for easy points.

Walter I agree he can score as many as he wants to. I wish he would be more assertive, then the sky is the limit. He can score anytime he wants.

If you consider Gallatin co in Nky you have to add Kristian Morgan to the list.

I would include them and say yes.

Dontel would easily put up 30 a night if he were more aggressive WITH the ball. Kid is putting up 20 and that's not even playing to his potential.

Time for Nick Ruthsatz to be in the discussion.

I haven't seen all the teams yet but here's where I'd rank them based on what they've done so far.

1. Campbell

2. McGovney

3. Hatton

4. Ruthsatz

5. McQueary

6. Rice

7. Burger

8. Stanley

9. Hightchew (early - could move up a lot by year end - inconsistent)

I haven't seen SK so I have no clue about the Chambers kid.
