Top Players in NKY

Don't over look Jake Schulte of New Cath.

Is he the sophomore that played some varsity last year as a freshman? If so I agree, he was a really nice looking player last year. Has he grown any more? I think he was about 6'5" last year.

That's the kid. I have not seen him since early in the summer when he had an ankle injury That kept him out of the aau circuit. He looked like he still had some room to grow. He has become a lot more aggressive, I guess getting beat on by Jake Geisler last year in practice helped him.

So he is going to be eligible for hoops then? Avery is a true point guard and I think Pouncy will have to take a backseat to him for sure. I dont see Avery moving to the 2 position.

Pouncy should be he is playing football for HC right now. He has got some looks from some D1 schools according to Rivals.

Hatton is without a doubt the best player in Northern Kentucky.

Not sure if I would say without a doubt. Hatton is very good but there are others in NKY that will be right there with him.

Yep I was referring to the group that plays AAU ball together in the Summer. Jake is a stud and should have a huge year.

:thumb: Completely agree. :thumb: At least a few.

EXCLUDING the dixie and Cov Cath transfers because I have yet to see them I would say:

Hatton

Schoonover

Chambers

For those unfamiliar with schoonover here he is

.... Doesn't do much justice as far as explaining his game but so everyone can put a face to the name--- kid has a great work ethic

http://www.ccaky.org/wp/. About 15 seconds in, you can seen another glimpse of what the 6'2" Schoonover the swingman can do?

Who is the other guard on their team? Heard he is pretty good too. Who do they play on Saturday? Is there any competition for them?

My cousin knows one of the coaches he said they play a home school program out of Lexington. Alex Clemons is the name of the other guard. My cousin said they would start for any public school team in NKY. They played Aiken and H prep last year. Dont really know about their league. Im going to go try to watch them play saturday its basketball and as long as im waiting till after thanksgiving for schools around here to start ill check out some small school ball.:ylsuper:

I agree it's a very strong group with no real bigs outside of Nick True of Highlands who IMO has a ton of potential if hoops was his only sport. Avery can pass as well as any guard I have seen inna long time.

I would add Pike to the mix as well. He and Hatton are a great pair on the court. Alot of swagger.

If pike is elegible to play after what went down this week.
