I am pretty sure that Calvary Christian is on Taylor Mill. They are in the 10th region and the 37th district with Campbell County, Brossart, Scott and Silver Grove.

I was confusing it with Orchard Street Baptist .

 

The video clip on the home page had Jonathon throwing one down. He shoots, he scores, he handles the ball, he is a team player. He just goes to a real small school. fun to watch him play. He would start on any team around.

Community Christian is apart of the KCAA ( Kentucky Christian Athletic Association) Kcaa.org. Schoonover played for CRONS AAU team and is a 1200 point scorer where he is at. Has battled the Likes of Louisville commit Ryan Taylor, Cincinnati Freshman Guard Jeremiah Davis and Aiken JR Austin Grimes and played them very very well. Saw him at Lakota as well and asked questions about him. I was told he has a running mate at Community and they may be the best 1 2 combo in NKY. With the size of the school they just arent deep and dont get a steady flow of kids every year. Saw him again at the Georgetown team camp along with the rest of his team and ill have to say i was pretty impressed they beat Frankfort high in the game i watched. They are pretty solid.

This kid is going to be fun to watch develop over the next three years.

OK, I've watch Mcgoveny play a couple times last year and each time I have left relatively unimpressed. To me a player with his hype would command the ball a little more. I never really felt like he wanted "the rock" in pressure situations. Maybe that was all due to Losey being there, because I felt like Losey was clutch for Campbell last year when needed. All in all, I'm not knocking the kid, I want to see him do well.

I think your "maybe" scenario probably is your answer.

 

My guess is that the McGovney kid will be "the man" this year. Sometimes dominant and older personalities hide other players abilities and attitudes.

Agree with Clyde on this about McGovney. I have heard he has improved his jump shot tremendously. This was really his only weakness in years past so he is now a threat to not only attack you but also put one in your eye. He will definitely be their bread and butter this year.

What makes Nate outstanding is a lot of the things he does off the ball. his defense is intense, he knows the game. As a jr. This year and with a lack of another true go to guy on the team, I think Nate will shine this year on both sides of the ball. An improved jumper will help him stand out. Nice kid, I wish him only the best.
