The state of Kentucky is awful in football across the board this year. Trinity is the only source of pride for this state in football this year.

 

I'd say Highlands fans would disagree that there's only one team worth talking about, I'd have to tend to agree.

I think that a summary of this terrible example of college football is that a bad Big East football team in Louisville beat an absolutely horrible excuse for a major college football team, let alone a disgrace to the SEC in U.K..

I would love to compliment either team on any aspect of the game but I honestly cannot. All that can be said is that U.L. is better than U.K..

My outlook for U.K. is the same.....they will never be above a middle of the pack SEC football team, they are not anywhere close to having SEC talent at any position.I will stick with my pre seaon call of 4-8, 5-7 at best. This mistake in Blue and White is the worst UK football team in years and when you really look at it honesly there hasn't been a real good one.

That assumption is as about as optimistic as I can be.

 

Congrats to the bgp/U.L. fans. Your team is not very good but you are better than U.K.. At least C. Stong imo has a chance of building a good football team in the future.

 

If only Coach Cal could recruit football coach's and football players as well...........

The bright spot for UK was the discovery of E.J. Fields as a dependable receiver. His performance was impressive. :thumb:

I thought the play calling was terrible. The line was terrible and we run, run and hope to complete a pass on third down. That was the Bengals offense under Bartowski. They opened it up before halftime and went right down the field. Everthing was terrible.

I don't buy the ticket cost issue either. If this team was good or there was excitement those tix would have been sold.

I thought the play calling was terrible. The line was terrible and we run, run and hope to complete a pass on third down. That was the Bengals offense under Bartowski. They opened it up before halftime and went right down the field. Everthing was terrible.

Bad play calling will put players under undue pressure, thereby causing them to underperform (and look bad to us). In other words, our players look worse than they really are.

 

Conversely, good play calling will make it easier to make plays, making the players look good.

 

I know that that may be stating the obvious, but I can't help but think that those who decry Morgan Newton's performance would be happier with him if the play-calling allowed him more success. That applies to the line as well.

My reason for not going is that I hate dealing with fans in front of me standing up for a significant part of the game. I just don't want to deal with that anymore.

Like I said in the prediction thread. Didnt care what the score was. Just wanted UofL to win.

Great to see EJ finally get a chance. Big drop early by McCaskill hurt UK. King stats do not tell it all. He is not very good. Newton actually had a good passing game, especially on the shorter throws. The O line is absolutely pathetic. Did Clemons get hurt or did Joker forget that he has been the only bright spot until EJ Fields got a shot? Winston Guy is way over rated. UK DB's do not ever make a play on the ball. Hurt or not, Stein is probably 2 string now. The Bridgewater kid is a talent. UL was flat out the more prepared team and whipped UK in the trenches. Calling Rich Brooks. Bet a lot of UK fans wish he was still here now, huh?

This is why this game should have never been moved from the first game. It doesn't matter how good or bad either team is. There would not be any empty seats.

Had a good time at the game... UK had their chances, couldn't capitalize. The o-line was awful. Both teams are bad, UK is worse.
