You don't get the "give me time to get my guys/system in place" argument when you've been in the program (as head coach in waiting/head recruiter) already. Pretty pathetic show by the Cats, which doesn't speak well to UofL letting them get back in it.

September 18, 201115 yr The only thing that would have made this game more enjoyable, would be if Bill Curry had been the announcer for the game. That would have been a Trifecta of awfulness.
September 18, 201115 yr Congrats to the Ville. They deserved to win. This is two programs going in different directions. I pretty much have written off the Joker Era when he failed to go for it on 4th and 2 last year in the 4th quarter at Tennessee. I think the season will show as it goes on that UL is not very good, but UK is worse...but UL was the better team. But UL gets bragging rights and deservedly so. May need its own thread but I think this series may be dead in a few years with conference expansion looming. The SEC will add another conference game and I can't see them offering up to renew the series.
