I concur! It would be a complete waste of talent. Towles, IMO has NFL talent, just needs to develop more. UK offers nothing to an athlete like him except disappointment.

This is two programs going in different directions.

I pretty much have written off the Joker Era when he failed to go for it on 4th and 2 last year in the 4th quarter at Tennessee.

I think the season will show as it goes on that UL is not very good, but UK is worse...but UL was the better team.

But UL gets bragging rights and deservedly so.

 

May need its own thread but I think this series may be dead in a few years with conference expansion looming. The SEC will add another conference game and I can't see them offering up to renew the series.

I think that a summary of this terrible example of college football is that a bad Big East football team in Louisville beat an absolutely horrible excuse for a major college football team, let alone a disgrace to the SEC in U.K..

I would love to compliment either team on any aspect of the game but I honestly cannot. All that can be said is that U.L. is better than U.K..

My outlook for U.K. is the same.....they will never be above a middle of the pack SEC football team, they are not anywhere close to having SEC talent at any position.

I will stick with my pre seaon call of 4-8, 5-7 at best. This mistake in Blue and White is the worst UK football team in years and when you really look at it honesly there hasn't been a real good one.

That assumption is as about as optimistic as I can be.

 

Congrats to the bgp/U.L. fans. Your team is not very good but you are better than U.K.. At least C. Stong imo has a chance of building a good football team in the future.

Very bad football by 2 very bad teams. However UofL was much much better than UK tonight, congrats to all the Cardinals fans on here.

I thought he played well in the first half and played like Morgan Newton in the 2nd half.

Regarding Morgan Newton, I was actually quite impressed with him in this game. His receivers tend to screw him over and make him look a lot worse than he actually is. I really do think he can be a really good QB. His main flaw is making The decision to run or pass. He also occasionally overthrows his receivers. However.... I think he make some incredible throws that make up for the overthrows. Right before the half, he drove the field and got his team in the endzone in a 2 minute drill. At the end of the game, did a great job driving the field and threw a strike to Demarco Robinson for a first down, who proceeded to get stripped and forced a 4th and 6. Bad throw on that play, but it should have never come to that.

 

Credit to UL for the win. They deserved it, especially considering the play call selection of UK. My friend and I almost called exactly what UK would do in every situation after some flow to the game was developed. Why run on 1st and 2nd down so much when your QB is throwing great?? (15/21 for about 200 Yds and a TD at one point)

 

And I am very disappointed with the line... I'll just leave it at that.

The bright spot for UK was the discovery of E.J. Fields as a dependable receiver. His performance was impressive. :thumb:
