Cov Cath will make the defense work for everything..I just dont think they can stop Highlands...Cov Cath will need to score at least 48 to have a chance to win.

Certain schools put 70 and they get a pass on here, others get bashed. Truth of the matter is sometimes you cant help but to score alot of points.

Agreed...this game could have hit the 100s.

I'm really surprised at how weak Highlands schedule is turning out to be.

 

The names looked good, but it hasn't worked out that way.

 

-Boyle will be better later, but they were in a little deep for opening night.

-Dixie Heights has one player and no defense

-Western wasn't ready for that level

-Mason County lost a ton from last year and then their best player gets hurt

 

What initially looked like four good primers to prepare for Covington Catholic have left most everyone knowing that Highlands is really good, but also that they haven't had too many challenges yet, which is completely not their fault.

With all the complaining about running the score up, I think there is some bird fans that need to be eating crow for all those comments.

Yes, Covington Catholic would have to get past Highlands in either the second or third round (depending on seeding) before matching up with Boyle County. And any Boyle County/Highlands rematch will take place at Boyle County.

Subs in second quarter and they still score 71. This team could put up 100 a few times this year if Dale wanted to. What's scary is how much game experience the sophmores are getting. That's going to give them quite an edge the next two years.

I don't know what you do. You gotta let JV kids play hard. CCH might give Highlands a game, Holmes won't be able to score but

will play them tough defensively, but three and outs will wear them out, I think Highlands will have no problems running the table

with Elder being their only shot at losing, but I doubt that also.
