I was talking with my Dad about this subject last night and he said back in his day the Catholic schools would chant, "Hail Mary full of Grace keep the Protestants in second place."

 

That was 50 years ago so I guess not much has changed, the coach overreacted while angry over a loss. He should just say so and put an end to this subject.

I still say that if Colerain won, and didn't have that very long home winning streak broken, St X could have said anything they wanted and he would not have done a thing!

Let's just say that I applaud Colerain's coach for standing up to such blatant ignorance. And I do not mean that in any derogatory way towards the St. X program in general. I'm sure the kids will get a serious "talking to" about it. We do have to keep in mind that we're talking about teenagers.

Jerk? I'm trying to defend your coach. Sorry if that came across to you as being a jerk. I am sure everyone at Colerain has fun with that pic and I am sure it was all done in fun. In the right circumstances, I love it that the coach is able to get loose like that. But when there is serious subject matter at hand, having my coach pictured with some crazy Cardinal head gear on is not the image I want out there.

You can let this go as a worry. One, it doesn't exist. And two, Al Gore is all over it!

He doesn't have "crazy Cardinal head gear" on...it's a Cardinal "golf" style visor and that is his hair. Do you really not see that?

Just another thought...since Coach Bolden is a Christain man, shouldnt he have been happy that the St X fans were claiming Jesus? I mean, being evangelical, you wouldn't want to keep Jesus all to yourself. Maybe he should have started chanting with them....kind of like a "hallelujah" chorus:thumb:
