My dream watches are Breitling and Longines. But until then I sport a Fossil and a Citizen Eco Drive watch. They've worked for me. My fossil battery watch just died yesterday so I need to go get that replaced. All of the new fossil watches are super nice because you can exchange the bands super easily now and a new band is like $30 bucks and they have silicone, leather, steel basically any kind of watch band you can think of. It makes them very versatile. So I would say Fossil is the best bang for your buck now.

1st off, I work inside most of the day. Don't get much sun. When I did have one, even on the weekends, when I came inside, the battery drained and within a few hours. I was thinking about carrying a pocket watch, but why with my cell phone already on me?

 

I should point out, if I wear my cell phone on an arm band where the phone is against my skin, I drain the battery in it as well. Even keeping my phone in my pocket does not prevent me from draining it. With the phone off and in my pocket, the battery will draw down.

How old is it? I thought Rolex made using sapphire crystals the standard for all of their watches back in the mid-eighties. If it's a sapphire crystal it should be a warrantied replacement.

Maybe your daughter is right? I bought my Citizen like 10 years ago and it's still ticking.

I wore a G-Shock before that and still wear it from time to time.

I wear an Apple Watch daily.... before that it was a G-Shock. Doesn't feel right not wearing one

Take it to Diamond Exchange. Vince has a guy that repairs Rolex's pretty reasonable. I just has mine repaired right before Christmas. The guy did a great Job! Only a 2 week turnaround.....

It really depends on the purpose. I have three. One for business, dress, and casual all around.

 

I have a couple of $1000 watches. I would never spend that much again for a watch. Personally I consider watches to be accent pieces in today's world. There is something manly about wearing one.

 

There are great watches in each category under $200.

 

If I was buying now I think the best bang for the buck are.
