Just hard to predict this one imo. I saw Trinity against Highlands in the scrimmage and I have my own opinion and assesment that I will keep to myself. I have not seen Elder but I do know Elder is one of those sneaky good teams. Playing at the Pit is no picnic, I dont care how good you are........

Ramsey picks his schedule wisely, and when he saw the opportunity to play both Highlands and Trinity, arguably the two top programs in the State of KY in the same yr he pounced on it. Idk, maybe its coincidental, maybe not, but Elder and Ramsey just don't go huntn Birds and kicking Rocks unless he has something real good to show. Good luck to Trinity as I am rooting for the KY team, but Idk........

All I know is, I hope T stops the TE seam pass late in the game. Its a staple of Elders success, at least against Highlands.

 

Ok, I will go with Trinity. Wins it on a FG late. 17-14.

No they will just say Trinity and Highlands have really nice programs but the rest of KY is not that impressive. Kinda what we already think about ourselves here in KY.

What is their record against out of state programs? Within KY X is impressive, on a regional level, not so much. We aren't that impressive on a regional level since I am fairly sure we have a losing record overall against out of state schools.

I had the pleasure of spending most of my day in Ohio. Seems that most of Elder's fans don't even consider this matchup a " big deal ". After all , they are only playing a team from Kentucky . I couldn't figure out if they were arrogant or extremely confident , but I sure would like to see Trinty blow them out of the pit. It might not happen , but that's what I'm hoping for . Go Rocks !!

I have been following the site in one form or another since the 200 season. I appreciate all of the insight that is provided by those close to all of the different programs.

 

Can people familiar with Elder and Trinity please talk a little more about the specific match-ups. I have heard several people talk about the size of the Elder O and D lines, how will that compare to what Trinity has faced the last two games. Does Elder have a difference maker on the D-line like Hatcher? an unbelievable playmaker like Quick or something else that will cause Trinity major concerns?

 

I will be more active now that I recently changed jobs and can play at work.

I'm not sure which "Elder fan's" you were talking to but I can assure you, without question, Elder does not look at Trinity as "only playing a team from Kentucky". Elder still hasn't gotten the bad taste out of their mouth from the 2002 game. I know from my Elder connections that the Elder players and fans have a whole lot of respect for Trinity.
