I'm not a Ohio guy but I am a High School football guy. Elder is big up front on offense and much better this year at the skilled positions. Coach Ramsey says the most improved offensive player is QB Ben Gramke. He's a smart experienced kid who makes good decisions. Gramke is coming off a game against Lakota West where he threw for 290 yards & 3 TD's.

Defensively Elder returns 8 or 9 starters. I was told those 8 or 9 starters were Sophomore's last year. They had their growing pains but going threw the schedule they went threw last year has made them much better this year.

Elder could be the surprise team in the GCL and if any team thinks they are going into The Pit and winning by 3 + TD's, they will leave disappointed.

Thanks for the insight and info. EVery little bit helps. I do not believe T takes anyone for granted-- esp. Cincy teams.

Can any of our Ohio friends share anything with us about ELder ? How about you - CF ??

More than happy to...give me a couple of days. Need to catch up on the Panthers.

Right now, they are probably 4 or 5 in Cincy behind Moeller, St. X, Colerain and possibly Middletown.

I will take Elder by 10!

I think a lot of questions that I have can be answered in this game.....is there a site where I can see the size of the Elder OLine - DLine, etc?

First of all , Lakota West is not Trinity !!! If Elder thinks Trinity is the same as LW , they will be disappointed . I never predict game scores , so I'll say it will be a close game and Trinity wins. Go Rocks !!!

Where did I make the comparison?

Where did I make the comparison?

You didn't . Trinity is a Ky team and we know how the Ohio programs look at Ky football. I don't really like "what ifs" , but what if Trinity and Highlands both beat Elder in the pit. Would Ohio football look at Ky football a little differently ?

I believe all of Elder's games are webcast live, is this correct?

Here is Elder's Roster http://goo.gl/Cjt5l

It is a PDF file that I found on the Elder Sports Website

I believe so including video.

I will say it again if you match Ky Schools and Ohio Schools by size, Ky will hold their own. Put NCC 180 boys Highlands 375 boys, Beechwood 140 boys and go play Ohio Schools the same size I will take the Ky Schools.
