I'm not sure which "Elder fan's" you were talking to but I can assure you, without question, Elder does not look at Trinity as "only playing a team from Kentucky". Elder still hasn't gotten the bad taste out of their mouth from the 2002 game. I know from my Elder connections that the Elder players and fans have a whole lot of respect for Trinity.

To be truthfull , these Elder fans are retired , and hang out at River Downs . If I was a betting man , I would say they probably don't remember 2002 or what they had for breakfast this morning . I'm sure your Elder fans are a lot younger than mine , and are more involved in the Elder program today.

Mine as well, many Elder peeps believe this will be their toughest opponent.

Let's have a great contest - as has been predicted. And, most of all - NO INJURIES to either. GO ROCKS !!!!!!

Evidently our good stink stirring friend Whackem (or someone using the same name) started a thread on the Ohio equivalent of BGP asking: why do Ohio folks come up with excuses when they get beat by Ky teams?

Here is a post made in response to the question:

"Probably because none of the fine Ohio student athletes want to accept that they just lost to a bunch of toothless, illiterate, cousin-marrying, slack-jawed, UK fan, moonshine drinking, meth snorting, coon hunting, sheep molesting, Tennessee bordering, Rand Paul represented, mouth breathing hillbillies. I don't blame them."

If Elder gets beat by Trinity , you won't be able to find a Elder fan in the whole state of Ohio. Then all the Elder faithful will suddenly become X fans . Then if X gets beat by T , they will all be Colerain fans , then Moeller .......... (you can see where this is going ). Go Rocks !!!!

Maybe your Elder connections are just blowing smoke up........... ?

Fla Rock--

Welcome to the site!! I saw your post hours ago, but I was at work and couldn't respond. I also do not know much about the Elder team or its team makeup. However, playing in "The Pit" should be a tremendous challenge for our Rocks!! I will be watching it on one of the streaming video feeds and hope you will do likewise. I look forward to your posts and view from afar. GO ROCKS!!

HEY...WATCH IT! I resemble that remark!

I have never been coon hunting, I only dated my cousin a couple of times, and as part of my plea agreement I cannot talk about the sheep. But other than that...

I thought this one was funny too.

Middletown - 34

No excuses here

Back to the thread: If T's secondary doesn't give up big plays I don't see how T loses. T's line (on both sides of the ball) is really good. Elder will do well to get a stalemate there. Then you get to skill positions and I think T will match theirs up with anyone in the country. T's backup QB, backup RB, and #4 WR would be the featured offensive threat at most high schools in the state.

This game should be more fun to watch than UL/FIU.
