Maybe he is just letting Mike Brown know that hey I am just going to show up one of these days to make you pay me to sit the bench, or to trade me. As much as I've hated on him over the years, a part of me wants him to come back to see what he can do with Green, Simpson, Gresham, and Shipley. Maybe, just maybe, he's sucked due to the Bradkowski and Ocho combination.

That is how I feel. There is talent on this offense, and if Palmer came back then who knows. He seemed to really enjoy and most importantly did well playing with the young receivers in the last two games of last year and did it against two top 5 defenses who were playing for something. Then throw AJ Green in the mix, and a new OC with the West Coast which probably fits Palmer well, then we could have been looking at a possibility of something good.

 

I do think Dalton will end up being a good QB though, however I don't want to wait a few years to see the team do well. Which could happen depending on how long it takes Dalton to grasp the NFL game. This team is building for the future, but could also win now with Palmer while Dalton sits and learns for a year...I will say this though if Palmer did come back to play, they will need to make him earn his spot back and not just give it to him IMO.

I'd say odds are slim that he suits up again for Cincinnati. I also have a feeling Mike Brown is going to create a media circus instead of making a deal.

I also think a year watching the West Coast type offense would help Dalton.

If I heard correctly, all he has to do is report for 11.5 million dollars guaranteed? I know he already said he had enough money to last the rest of his life, but 11.5 million dollars isn't something to turn your nose up at.
