Despite the schedule I still have a hard time believing X won't have a winning record this season.

 

5-5 regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs is realistic. Worst case scenario is 4-6 and 1-1. If had to lay even money though, I would be hard pressed to bet that they would NOT have a winning season.

Thought X would win at home, but I was pulling for my friends in BG. Huge win for the Purples. But hey, I bet X could have beaten them with their teams from 2004-2009.:sssh::lol:

Really? X did not move the ball down the field every drive. In my eyes X only should have scored 10 points. One touchdown was off a short field and one FG was at the end of the game. BG's defense is solid. Great win for the purples.

Congrats to the Purples. Must have an outstanding team this year. I know they always played T tough and gave the Rocks everything they could handle.

IMO, both teams did great!! X has nothing to hang their heads over.

Another outstanding player not being mentioned is Sr DB and fourth year starter Michael Bailey. He won WBKO TV's Play of the Week for his return of the blocked punt tonight. He is not very big, but there's very little he can't do. He sacks QBs and tackles for losses, blocks kicks and returns them, punts, hits much harder than his size. Plays DB quite well too!

 

I wish to congratulate both squads for some very intense football tonight...they both deserve it.

 

My old gold game jersey from my senior year in 1976 has now seen two very huge first-time wins in a series. It was the very jersey I wore the night we beat Paducah Tilghman for the first time. Now, it has seen history made again with a first time win over the Tigers.

 

I would further like to add that the staff at the stadium were wonderful hosts and the food was excellent. It was a great experience overall at a stadium where I was looking forward to seeing a football game!:thumb:I sincerely hope that the St X fans have the same kind of experience at our place next season!

What does this have to do with the 2011 season. I bet the 2001 Meade team could beat X , oh thats right they did! Just joking around. Give BG the credit that they deserve. They have been climbing the ladder the last couple of years and are a better team than X this year. X will be where it needs to be at playoff time. Glaser will have them playing for a deep run.
