Towles is a better QB than Pike. Pike might be a better athlete, but his attitude hold him back. He is not an SEC QB! Dixie's defense is awful right now. If they don't fix it, it will be a long year for Dixie. If Pike doesn't start leading this team, they will have a dismal year

 

I think you may be right about Pike's attitude in the past but from what I have seen after watching him on the Elite 11 show and also in the game last night on the sideline and field he has matured a lot. I think he understands that it gets you nowhere and when he gets to Auburn that stuff needs to be left behind because those guys will squash it out of him. I know a few times they zoomed in on him on the sideline while down 54-7 and he looked like he was taking the beating well. He was not sulking or playing the blame game like you may have seen in the past. I think we all need to get off that soapbox this season.

Agreed, I noticed that when they were working on an injured player Pike was right there on the sideline offering support. That was late in the game. That's the sign of a team leader.

I think it is plain and simple, Dixie needs a whole new coaching staff. Outcoached every week so far. Pike is D1 talent, seems to be very immature. I saw a story about his tweets talking trash to Alabama fans already. Come on kid, we all want to see you do well, Dixie fans or not. Grow up a little, work hard and make NKY proud. You have the natural talent to do it. I also agree that if Pike was the QB for HHS, he would have looked just as good if not better than Towels last night. I watched the UK game on DVR late night and wow, the Cats are going to love having another HHS qb on their team. They really need it!! He will have a chance to touch the field next year for sure. Here is a question: how many points will Dale score on Pendleton?? I feel sorry for Pendleton, being moved to the same district as Cov Cath and HHS. What an awful move by the KHSAA there. Why would Auburn pull the offer on the #4 quarterback in the country? Especially a kid who is committed to Auburn and is actively recruiting other players to Auburn. It doesn't make sense. And as for the twitter reports. If you actually looked it up you would know he deleted his actual twitter account. It's clearly someone with no life trying to make him look bad if he was that outspoken he would do the same thing on his facebook, which he doesn't.
