September 6, 201115 yr Who would have thought the line up would look like that at this point in the season?
September 7, 201115 yr Please someone continue to defend this joke of a pitcher Nick Masset. He's the worst pitcher in the bullpen without question. Yet to hear some of you guys talk about him, he's got better than stuff than anyone. :rolleye: get real.

Guess all of his staunch supporters are on vacation.
September 7, 201115 yr I would say Masset was their best reliever from the middle of May last year until a few months ago. He's obviously struggling now. Not sure if its because he's overworked or he's just having a bad run. I'd still say his stuff is the best they have except possibly Chapman.
September 7, 201115 yr Phillips 4, Renteria 6, Votto 3, Bruce 9, Alonso 7, Stubbs 8, Francisco 5, Hernandez 2, Cueto 1
September 8, 201115 yr He seriously just put in Heisey for the guy that is 3-4 (Would have been 3-3)and would have had another RBI if old man river wasn't running from 3rd?
September 8, 201115 yr That's the best lineup we've had this year. Only took 140 games I'm several days late but,

September 10, 201115 yr I hate the fact that Votto will have to be moved but Alonzo is so good at the plate it makes it a bit easier to swallow. Either way we should be able to get some very good prospects for either player. Alonzo has 60 ABs and over a 600 AB season he's on pace for 40-130. I know that isn't likely but 25-30 and 100 RBIs is what I see in the future.

It makes me sick to even think about, but we can get some big time prospects and with Alonso waiting to play, I think it will be the best decision. I hope they give it a few months next season, and if things are looking bad again, then it's time to move Joey because we aren't going to keep him and I want something good in return.
