I agree to an extent. On the list of questions that need answered between now and opening day CF is about 12th. He needs to cut down on his K's, but he adds a lot of value at a great price.

Wrong. I have questioned Dusty a lot this year. I just don't question every move of every game. And it is now in piling on mode where people are looking for something to criticize. You can do that with virtually every manager in baseball every day. That's the nature of the game. When there is a legitimate reason to criticize Dusty, I will be right there with you.

 

I hope Alonso can get it together in LF. It has been beyond ugly so far. I want him in the lineup but if he gets through today with a misplay in LF, I think that will be the first game he has done it.

 

I would say wondering why Lewis has played so much when he will not be on next years time while Alonso sits is a very legitimate gripe. Alonso is going to be on this team for the next 5 or 6 years if not longer hopefully. Lewis is at best a 5th outfielder for someone and it won't be the Reds.

This is pathetic. The Reds have struck out 6 times in 5 innings today. All 6 have been looking, and right down the heart of the plate.

None. They need to see if he can hit major league pitching. You can't do that getting a few AB's a week.

I feel real confident in his ability to hit in the majors. Not much doubt about that for me.

Stubbs has now struck out 180 times on the year....On pace for 213 for the season....He just needs to focus on sucking just a tad bit more, and he can get the record.

I agree with giving him a day or two before he starts. It better not be longer than that though.

Oh it's obviously the right move to sit him a day or two. There's no way he's had a chance to learn how the ball plays off the back stop on a wild pitch, and doesn't know the wind current inside the stadium enough to be able to make the throws to 2nd or 3rd if needed.
