Is Trinity that good, Highlands that bad, or...

Please point out posts saying it was unfair as I missed them. Just because something is an advantage doesn't mean it's unfair. It's not.

Suddenly....because this year.....we do have the best athletes, something is unfair?
Nothing Trinity is doing is unfair... They are doing everything right, in my opinion. I just think it does not say much for KY prep football if the disparity between number 1 and everybody else is as large as it appears to be.

I find it unfair if you are basing your opinion of Ky.high school football solely on the results of a preseason scrimmage .

Upsets do happen , that is why they play the games. Trinity is number one , until someone can pull the upset .

We agree jbwill2....year in and year out there are three superior KY prep teams, Trinity, St. X and Highlands. Not knocking the effort the kids and coaches make at the other programs, but the football played and talent pool most years is below to well below the national average.

I'd be curious to know if Hatcher and Quick attended feeder Catholic grade schools of Trinity. Can anyone answer this? Im guessing they came to the program in Middle School.

Trinity still has the great catholic school kids of the past but have added in a few more superstars, especially in the Jr class. If a KY school stays within 14-21pts the next couple years I would be suprised. Their schedule will be fun to watch this year.

I am not entirely sure. Nor do I care. I grew up Catholic but went to public school until I went to Trinity....

RP, from what you told me, you are lucky they let you in at T.

My son went to the same Middle school as Quick, but Quick left the school, and I'm going to bed.

Well played my man...

Relax RP....its a simple question. The Birds certainly take advantage of kids who decide to move into the district during Middle School years.

Quick did not. Hatcher I don't know for sure.

I do still think it is part numbers but not all of it. There are several reasons T is getting even better. The simple and no-brainer is the tradition of the program including, kids, coaches, parents, alums and fans. T has the Catholic grade schools kids coming to play for the program (which has always been there) but more so today it is helping that T is getting more kids from the Little/Youth Rec Leagues around the area.

I don't know if I would call T a D1 Farm? I could understand if they were putting 10/20 kids a year into D1 programs but to my knowledge that has never happened. What kind of numbers would constitute a D1 Farm?

Why is Beatty getting so little credit? Trinity has had numbers on almost everyone for many, many years. W/ the exception of the late 80's, they were never this dominant. His run over the past decade is incredible, and he and his staff deserve much more appreciation.

Absolutely agree that Beatty has to get a lot of credit.

With the exception of the past season, most pundits agreed that X had a clear talent advantage most years over the past 10 and yet only came away with 2 titles versus Trinity's 8.
