Bengals - Will they Shock Us?

If Dalton proves he can handle the job. If not, I keep Palmer till I have a viable option or get an offer I can't refuse.

If an already aging and declining Palmer sits out more than one year he will be useless to them or anyone else. They say they like Dalton. Prove it. When Dalton plays decent next yeat and Palmer still isn't moved there will be a lot of people that think it was a dumb move by Brown. I already know it is.

CP made his bed and now must sleep in it. Mike Brown didn't force him to retire. Palmer needs to quit whining and get to camp with his teammates. Last I heard, he had saved his money and was riding off in the sunset. Let's not blame Mike Brown for this spoiled player's selfish attitude. This is ALL on CP and no one else.

^ Signed some draft picks traded Chad. Nothing good really.

Former Raiders LB Thomas Howard reached agreement with Cincinnati on a two-year, $6.5 million contract.

What is better for the team and organization? Nothing from a retiring player or trading that same guy for picks or other players. Thanks for playing. This is all about Brown being stubborn. It has nothing to do with football. Palmer hasn't whined at all. He made it be known that he would retire if he had to come back and play for Brown. He is laying in his bed. Brown has the power to get something for him and is too dumb to realize it. I'm guessing you're a season ticket holder. Brown likes guys like you.

This could be any owner of any sports franchise and I would support the decision to not give in to a player's trade demand. It's just a good business decision by the team owner/gm. You simply cannot give in to every disgruntled player no matter what their reason for wanting out might be. It sets bad precedent and it's bad for business. So what if Mike Brown is being stubborn? CP's not being stubborn? Who does CP think he is demanding to be traded or threatening retirement? Are you kidding me? CP signed the contract that gave him lifetime financial security........perhaps he should of thought about signing one year deals instead. I really wish Mike Brown would take some of the money saved from not paying Palmer and throw a huge retirement party for the season ticket holders in honor of CP. What if A.J. Green comes up next year and says he will retire if not traded, do we trade him? You could not be more wrong on this one SSC. Let him continue to lay in his bed. I am shocked that anyone thinks CP has any value btw, the guy has been getting bashed for years about how inept he is as a football player, but suddenly he has trade value?? C'mon, give me a break. Oh yeah, you guessed right, I am a season ticket holder and will continue to be. No fair weather fan here, lifelong Bengals fan. Whether they are winning or losing, I will be there. It's to easy to be a fan when your team is winning, the real fans are there through the good and the bad.

Had to be a season ticket holder. Never mind. Keep sending Mike your money and drinking his kool aid. Sorry

Just curious do you watch the Bengals on TV at all?

Just curious do you watch the Bengals on TV at all?

Yes

Then you contribute just as well.

That is an absurd argument. Absurd. I already have a cable bill and the NFL already has a tv contract because of tens of millions of viewers.

I can't get a cable bill and not get the games televised. I can not buy a single ticket or purchase any merchandise or concessions. We're talking pennies or a few bucks compared to hundreds or more likely thousands.

Just curious SSC..........you seem to be a football fan. Which team do you watch and root for every Sunday?

The Bengals. However I don't spend money on tickets or merchandise for them.

Joseph is a Texan. Mike Brown has a ton of money to spend still.
