July 10, 201115 yr With a 5 run lead why do you run your closer out there after he threw 31 pitches last night? I don't care if you warmed him up or not. Don't you have a guy in your pen that you will probably option out on Sunday to activate Willis. Start the 9th with him and go from there. You let him throw 21 pitches tonight and tomorrow you may need him again. My bet is that Dusty runs him back out there on Sunday if the need arises. That won't be pretty. Fantastic foreshadowing.
July 10, 201115 yr Man what a bad loss. Seems like there has been a lot of them lately for the good guys.
July 10, 201115 yr Once again The Reds...SUCK!!!Chalk up another one to Dusty. I'm done watching full games and posting in Track the Reds till Dusty is fired. I've had enough of his stupidity. This will be my last post in Track the Reds till somebody is calling the shots.

July 10, 201115 yr Reds were only slightly better than I predicted on this road trip: 2-5 (I had said 1-6). Where do you start? Where is the heart? Where is someone stepping up and saying 'Enough already!'? When is someone going to tell Fransisco Cordero to take a lonnngggg vacation? Cincinnati, with it's talent and blend of veterans and experience, is embarrassing itself. When will the Reds start unloading payroll? When does the front office face the reality that this team as is, is stepping all over itself? As the 'Hall of Famer' said on last night's broadcast (prior to the 10th inning), that 'this team (Reds) can't get out of it's own way'. To be out of contention in the lame NL Central Division, at midseason, you have to be Cubs-Astros bad. How close are the Reds to that, with the wonderful taste in your mouth you get to enjoy as a Reds fan over the All Star Break?
July 10, 201115 yr For the offense is good folks. 3 out of 7 games on the trip they scored 3 or less. Yesterday it took extra innings to get above 3 and another game they scored their 4th run in the top of the 9th to lose by 1.
July 11, 201115 yr what happened to the talk of Cordero not getting enough cred? Just recently I remember lots of chatter about him being one of the best closers in the league and not getting enough credit...Willis had first inning jitters but after that he was on cruise control, I love his emotion and believe he along with Cueto, Leake and Bailey should form a pretty good punch in the second half...Now the offense has been getting the lead, just need someone to close the door whether it be Bray, Ondrusek, Masset, Chapman, Arredondo or LeCure I don't really care I just know that it doesn't need to be Cordero everynight...Go with who is freshest, I hate the closer position in baseball...
