I want to take my girlfriend to one of these 3 restaurants the night I propose because she is a big steak fan (as am I). I am about to be deployed to Afghanistan, so we are going to tie the knot, so to speak, before I go. Which of these three would you choose for a night like that?

I too have only been to Ruth Chris, which I highly recommend.

 

We used to go to the Precinct yearly (another one of Jeff Ruby's places). The quality of their steaks has gone way down based on our last two visits. We won't be going back there. I dont know Jeff Ruby's they get their steaks from the same place Precinct does. Next year, we are planning on switching to Mortons. Something tells me, two young lovers won't be disappointed no matter where they go.

Jeff Ruby's and I do not think it is even close. Morton's does have the better of the desserts though.

To this day, I can't decide whether it really was the best steak I've ever had or whether I was in college and something that wasn't pizza or a turkey sandwich tasted incredible.

Has anyone been to the Celestial? It has been a while since I have been there but two of the best meals of my life were there. It is an older crowd. But it is a unique setting with a great view of Cincinnati from Mt. Adams. It is upscale and I think would be an experience befitting such a special evening. Hopefully others on here have been and can add more perspective but I recommend looking into it for creating a special memory.

Good question. There used to be a Morton's in downtown Cincinnati and I thought there was a Jeff Ruby's in Cincinnati next to the Aronoff. Ruth Chris ... I don't know of one in Cincinnati so I should have caught that.

Jeff Ruby's and I do not think it is even close. Morton's does have the better of the desserts though.

I agree as Ruby's is my top choice, I went to the downtown Cincy location a couple of months ago and the last time as the one at the casino in IN was a year ago, I really enjoy the Ruby's Gem. I like Morton's too, but they are my second choice. I agree about the desserts too.

Plus the Jeff Ruby's in Louisville has a great sushi bar. Nothing beats some fresh sashimi to kick off a great meal.

Pat's is the best in Louisville. Out of the options given I'll agree and go with Jeff Ruby's.

Flemings is an Outback Steakhouse Inc. operation based in Tampa and are all over the place, primarily in California, Arizona, Florida, and Texas. The closest ones to Kentucky are in Dayton, Ohio and in Nashville. I've been to the one here a couple of times. It's OK, but a little pricey for what you get, IMO. I feel the same about Berns and Ruth Cris, too, though. I'll take the blackened 10oz. Delmonico ($13.95) at Daddy's Grill in Oldmar over anything those restaurants dish out, any day.
