Though I've been called a Socialist, I'm just a Young Money Democrat.

Fiscal conservative and a social liberal. Basically you can do what ever you want, within reason, as long as it doesn't cost me any money.

I love it. Though our "within reason" probably differs some.

Republican but I vote conservative if that makes sense.

Registered Republican. Vote that way most of the time in national elections, at least the past few. State and local it's a toss up depending on the person running. All the tests I've done over the years have me about 55% conservative to 45% liberal. Have to work on that 45%.

We should get someone to dig up one of those political affiliation tests, it's been a while since I last took one.

I'll also say this I rarely vote Republican unless that person is a moderate. I'm not big into voting for moral issues (abortion, gay rights) unless that is the only major topic that will be addressed by that candidate. With the war and economy those things take a back seat for me, and I don't agree with conservative Fiscal policy at all.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. To use a phrase I heard a lot growing up, I meet an awful lot of folks who are just to the right of Atilla the Hun.

And we all admire the work you did fighting against the monarchy...

I don't want to supply specifics, because I don't paint myself in to a corner, but you'd probably be surprised how similar it would be.

Registered Democrat that ends up voting Republican a lot. I vote for the person, not the party. My Dad told me to register as a Dem when I was younger, so I did. Means very little to me.

 

I'm like you, althought my dad didn't tell me to register that way. The county I live in is almost exclusively Democrat, so if you aren't registered that way you generally don't get to vote in any meaningful way in local elections. I rarely vote Democrat. I'm not a big fan of either party at this point, but it seems that I'm generally a little farther away from the Dem candidate(s).

Here is one that most people can't stomach. I'm for the legalization of ALL drugs. If you want to shoot up heroin and cause no harm to others, then by all means go for it. If after an evening meal your favorite way to wind down is to hit the 'ol crack pipe...well you go for it big boy.

My basic mantras are "Survival of the Fittest & Personal Responsibility".

I am registered Democrat but that means very little to me. I try not to get too caught up with moral issues because I often do no see the full correlation to how those issues are to be representative of who we are electing. What frustrates me most about politics is that if you are a Republican, you stand for x, y, and z. If you are a Democrat you stand for a, b, and c. Really? That is as far as we have come in 250 years? Half the people agree for all of these things, the other half agree for the complete opposite. No middle ground? The middle ground is where I feel most Americans are it leads to the overall dissatisfaction which has blistered through time.

 

For Presidential elections if I have to focus on one issue it would be based upon judicial feelings and overall interpretation of law. Relative to my state and locally I normally vote who has done a good job for myself and community.
