How big is Monroe?

As in height 5'9" or 10". As in importance... He makes Pendleton County

Great effort by the Wildcats tonight. They're playing really good ball right now.:thumb:

Great game by Pendleton. I don't think I have ever watched or listened to game like this where a player came back after supposedly fouling out. Usually the bench catches the the wrong fouls way earlier and not after fouling out. Could that minute he was out have made a four point difference? Strange game because of that but otherwise a very entertaining game to listen to. Congrats to Pendleton.

Technically only needed to be a one point difference since the game went to OT. But I think Montgomery actually closed the gap a bit during the brief time that Prewitt was out.

Had a front row seat courtside for this whopper of a game. Seemed like there was nearly 1,000 people there an hour before tip. Place was absolutely mobbed by the time we got to the 4th quarter.

The explanation above makes more sense in regards to "foul-gate" just a bizzare situation and I can only imagine the outrage had MC went on to win the game. A nice touch by the PC fans when one of their players fouled out in OT and they were chanting "that's only 4"

First time watching Prewitt play, nice player, but does he whine like that all the time? Seemed like everytime something went against him, he was complaining. Having only watched him once, I want to know from others.

I think Montgomery wins the 10th next year...

The Mason Monroe show!!!

The more I watch him the more I like him. Multi-faceted and extremely effective. Has the best handle in traffic of any high school player that I've, maybe ever, seen.

Inside, outside, penetrate and dish........................and the beat goes on!!!!

Worth the price of admission tonight!

Law of averages catching up with the Wildcats' close game record, and it couldn't be coming at a better time.

Saturday evening will tell if they are for real, or if they are Memorex - tough challenge!

Montgomery will be tough next year as they bring everyone back. Both PC and Mason have been on a roll as of late, so I look for Saturday's game to be a close one!!

This is what happened on Prewitt's foul. When the foul was called everyone had Prewitt with his fourth foul EXCEPT the official scorer. The #4 with 4 fouls even came up on the scoreboard. Prewitt is removed. At the next break (not for sure how much time) asst. Coach Fawns questioned the ref about a prior foul. The ref said the foul was on #45. They proceeded to the scorer to question who he marked with the foul and he had marked #4 instead of #45. The refs met a midcourt, discussed the call, called the coaches to midcourt and corrected the mistake and Prewitt went back in the game.

Thanks for explaining. The radio announcer said he had him for 5 fouls too. I am really glad they got this strighten out.

Agree with you Mustang. Monroe might only be 5'10 but he plays much bigger and his competetiveness is 2nd to none. I know his parents are very proud.

Nice gutsy win by PC. Best of luck vs the Royals.

Nice memorex reference Mustang you took me back to the 80's with that one.

Prewitt missed long lapses of time when he got his second foul and then when he got his third, have never understood the "unwritten" law all coaches go by in taking players out for fouls, this hurt MC. Also a warning at the very beginning of the game to Walsh#10 of PC should have been given along with foul calls for his man-handling of Prewitt, if he is allowed to guard like that PC will go the state tournament

Having seen him play in all three games with GRC I think that is normal for him. In one of the GRC games he received a technical which appeared to have been a culmination of complaining after every single call against him. He is a very good player and he just needs to take it in stride and play. He will be one of the best in the region next year.

And McPapa you are correct my comment should have been did foulgate cost Montgomery one point.

So there is an "official" book at the table and usually each team has a book as well.

When the official book said it was the 5th foul on Prewitt did the other books have the same? If not, did they bring it to the attention of anyone?

Walsh never "manhandled" Prewitt. His hands were straight up the entire time. Prewitt was the only one in the gym complaining that it was a foul. Walsh was just playing physical. There was nothing dirty about it.
