Wow, a double elimination!

 

Actually they're both at Redemption Island with Matt. No one was eliminated last night. My theory is that next week they will do a challenge from RI and winner re-enters the game. From then on no RI and tribal vote outs go on the jury.

 

Also did anyone catch the look on Rob's face when Julie called the cult out? Could he really think that the other tribe didn't realize who was pulling the lemmings strings? He now has a huge numbers advantage. He talked about getting rid of Andrea. You think he could throw the losers a bone to try to garner their favor and have it blow up in his face?

In a game that can change any minute like Survivor it is tough to make predictions, but I feel like Rob is easily a lock to make it to the final three, especially since he's still holding onto a Immunity Idol that no one (not even his own tribe) knows about.

 

I do agree with you about Redemption Island being done after next week. I wonder if the producers liked that new edition or not. I feel like it made things a little more interesting with people trading secrets and what not as they lost the challenge.

It's very rare that one tribe sticks together and completely demolishes another tribe after the merge. Usually someone always wises up and realizes that they are the low-man on the totem pole and they make a move...doesn't seem like that is even crossing the minds of the players yet.

 

Tell me Rob isn't great at this game? He is literally controlling everything and everyone. Best part is, he has a hidden immunity idol that no one even knows about.

 

I think it is crossing their minds it is just edited out. Rob has said he is taking Natalie and Phillip with him and Phillip knows everyone will want to take him to the final 3.

 

At this point it is too late for one person to stray from the tribe. I think Grant would if he thought he could take someone with him but at this point I don't see anyone leaving Rob's cult. Nor should they. Get to the final 6 and then let the games begin.

Saw this on the CBS site, and thought it would have been a good strategy:

 

Zapatera messed up one more chance to take some control in this game tonight. At the second tribal council I would have made a statement something like this:

 

“Zapatera held a meeting and we’ve decided who wins the $1M. Rob has control of Omatepe and they run around licking his feet and drinking his kool-aid but Zapatera will have control of the Jury in the end. Rob tells his cult members when to eat, when to pee and if they are allowed to wipe their butts. If Omatepe can’t wake up and vote against him tonight, Zapatera will give Rob the $1M prize. If anyone from Omatepe wants to retain the chance to win the $1M, they can do so by voting against Rob tonight. If even one or two of you vote against Rob, then if you make the finals you will get Zapatera’s votes and can win this game. If nobody votes against Rob tonight then you all might as well go home now because you will not get our votes and cannot win this game.

 

“If you don’t vote against Rob tonight but do take him out in a future tribal council and he makes it back into the game, Zapatera will give him the $$ because you didn’t vote against him tonight. If he does not make it back into the game and we have to vote for one of you, your best hope is to have Zapatera’s good will and be someone we will willingly vote for, which means you need to vote against Rob tonight. If a couple of players (Grant and Andrea?) want to make a move against Rob, they need to do it this week or next. After that, the numbers will not work. If they flip in the next couple of weeks, there will be enough members left from the other tribe for them to outnumber Rob's loyal members in a vote and Rob will not suspect it coming. The closer it gets to just Rob's 6 member tribe, the more likely it is that Rob will use his idol. Of course, they don't know he has the idol so they may be thinking they can get Rob when it is down to the last 6. Grant and Andrea need to become "buddies" so Rob doesn't feel threatened by seeing one of them talking to the other tribe. As "buddies" they can make it look like someone from the other tribe approached them and that they blew it off. They will need a good cover story because we have all seen how intuitive Rob is in snuffing out any maneuvering. The smaller the numbers get, the harder it is going to be to blindside Rob since he has that idol. If he can win an individual immunity challenge or two, he is looking good. You would think someone would catch on that there is an idol still in play since the one used by Ralph has not been replaced in the game. I am surprised no one thought of that. But as we have seen, no one in this game is that sharp outside of Rob. I look for Ralph to try and stir it up some in the next show because he probably thinks he is next. I don't see him going out without a fight like the rest of his tribe has done so far. The best thing that could happen in the show is for Matt to win his way back to the show and come back with a plan. If I were him, I would come back with guns ablazin', work over every member of Rob's tribe and find out who might flip and build the votes to get Rob out. Oh, I agree. Matt even called himself an idiot and said he was perhaps the most naive person to ever play Survivor. I just laid out a scenario that I think would jazz the show up because it is dead right now. Rob's tribe will just keep picking off the members of the other tribe like they have the past two weeks. I think Matt could spice it up. But, like you, I don't know if he is capable of thinking it through enough to spice it up. And the guy is in medical school, right?

The problem with Andrea is that she trusts Natalie and Natalie is rolling with Rob. Until Andrea learns she shouldn't trust Natalie she is in a bad spot and the way the game has gone so far by the time Andrea finds out she can't trust Natalie she'll be getting voted out. I just wonder when the 5 are going to realize they need to get Rob out and if Rob will be able to figure it out in time to use his idol. Then I wonder what happens after that. That day has to come and it has to come soon. If Rob's cult males it to 6 unfazed then go ahead and write the check out to Rob.

I'm flabbergasted that his cult hasn't figured out that they need to get him out. It's insane to me that they can't see what's going on. I think Grant does. He looked like he was keeping his mouth shut for the time being, but he was fed up, after the fish incident. I keep trying to figure out who he could get to flip. Everyone is such a sheep, except maybe Philip. And Philip did indicate that he was going to make a move, but that it wasn't the right time. Could it be coming soon, though? I think Philip is outrageous, but part of me is beginning to think that's just his game, and he's probably going to be underestimated too long by Rob. I think Matt could make a run if he can get back on the island. But, Grant needs to flip and of course, Matt needs to win the RI challenges. I'd like to see any of the 3 on RI back in the game, but Matt the most, because we don't really know what his game is yet. And Ralph....he may be an even bigger goober than Matt!

I'm not shocked Rob's cult hasn't tried to get rid of him. It is still an us against them mentality. For now. Keep in mind that Rob said he is taking Natalie and Phillip to the final 3 and he has told them both that. He is already at another level of play as are his two cohorts. If they can stay as a solid alliance they will be tough to break. If it gets to Cult of 6, then as soon as Grant doesn't win a challenge he is gone. He'll have to win immunity to stay alive. And that is very possible.

 

 

Phillip indicated he is playing crazy in hopes that people will want to take him to the final 3. I don't think that strategy will work as everyone believes he is legitimately crazy. If I am a jury member he wouldn't get my vote.

 

If Rob doesn't win then David is probably the only person I would like to see win. Grant wouldn't bother me either. Chances are......Matt or Ralph will win. The people I don't want to win always win in Survivor.

One of the Zaps needs to pull a "Russell", and poke some holes in the cult's tarp.

 

I would also laugh if one of them took after Jane, and torched the place before leaving.

When the whole tribe is around camp, say "Hey Rob, now that all of your puppets are following your directions, what do you plan to do with the million dollars, now that you've won it?"

 

When Rob objects, then say "Doesn't work with me, Rob, there are no puppet strings on me."
