Bold prediction. Rob's puppets will turn on him soon and he gets blindsided without playing the idol. I think they may be riding his coattails and will start actively looking to get rid of him. He's also gotten very full of himself and thinks he's invincible.

 

How has he gotten full of himself and think he's invinceable? You mean th guy who is always freaking out that there might be another hidden idol in play every reward challenge, or when him and Phillip started digging under that sign to find an idol? If he was so full of himself and thinking he was invinceable, I don't think he'd be so paranoid about it. Or the guy who watches everyone and the second they start straying away to much he wants to vote them out (Andrea this week). If he was full of himself and invinceable he wouldn't even be concerned with her feeling bad about Matt.

 

I feel like you are way off. He's a great strategist and obviously does very well in the social game. If he were full of himself and invincible, he wouldn't still be here. Those people don't make it to far in Survivor.

I'll be pretty perturbed if they do that. Takes out a lot of what I feel is essential to the game.

I don't think Rob has gotten full of himself publicly like Russell would have at this point. I'd be interested in seeing how they could blindsided him without knowing though. Someone would tell him. If Rob doesn't win I hope Grant does. Or even Phillip for lasting as long as he has. Besides those three and Matt no one else is deserving to me. Next week should be really fun.

 

As for RI.....I have no clue what the plan is. All I know is that Matt will win at least 100K from Survivor. At least.

1: The Ohm Ladies actually believe that who they bring deeper into the game has to do with who they like, rather than who they want to face at FTC. They actually BELIEVE that. An opportunity to make a break for the finish line, and they throw it away because they kinda don't like Andrea. Gah! What the hell is wrong with you casting people, anyway?

 

2: Rob is no idiot. "So long as Philip keeps up his antics, I'm taking him with me. He's under my protection." His fellow Ohms haven't figured that out, and judging by how both Steve and Ralph have targeted him in their tirades/sub-tle manipulations, neither have they. I'm not saying Rob's a genius... but compared to everybody else still in the game, he's frickin' Einstein.

 

3: The twist changed nothing, except to accelerate the inevitable. It's a good idea, but achieved nothing. The timing was just very unfortunate, especially for Steve who found himself with no recourse and out of time.

 

4: Philip's great grandfather (full-blooded Cherokee) is one talkative frickin' ghost. The silly old dead coot won't shut the heck up.

 

5: I found myself wondering throughout the episode - and afterward - whether Andrea has any clue that she's not "in" with her alliance. Actually, I don't think the reason much matters. She's not Philip, and Rob found (i.e., dug deep and hauled out of the pit) a reason for her to be distrusted by her alliance. A reason that he can use to aim the Zombie Cannon. And yes, it shoots real zombies.

While I think it was suicide for them I loved it when Russell got Russelled. CBS has a tendency to play up people that are in for a rude downfall and I see that happening. You can say what you want about the strategic game but the social game is every bit as important as the stragic game IMO. Rob already has a disadvantage getting jury votes because he is a returning player and married to a past winner.

But that's part of Survivor. The reality that the people that will decide if you win are the same people that you had a hand in eliminating. And define playing the game the best? That's different from person to person. Some think Russell played the best game in his first appearance but I don't agree. Yes, strategically he outplayed and manipulated everyone but he was also abrasive and bullying towards those who ultimately held his fate in their hands. In my book that's not smart. IMVHO if you are not a physical threat then flying under the radar and latching onto a dominate player is a legitimate strategy that sometimes backfires (ask Krista and Stephanie). That's how I would have to play if I actually played the game becaue I would not be a physical threat.

I could see that. In a just world that is. Fans are going to feel sympathy for God-fearing, goofy, worst Survivor player I have ever seen in Matt. I can feel it.

 

In a just world if Rob makes the final three he wins. While I want to Rob to win I'll be shocked if he does.

Phillip is by far the most entertaining survivor this season and is one of the most entertaining ever IMO. I get a laugh or two from him in every episode.

I also enjoyed watching Phillip find his shorts. That was pretty impressive.

Saying Rob doesn't have a good social game is a joke. The difference between Rob and Russell is the social game, that is why Rob is still around on Day 30 and Russell was dismissed very early. If it wasn't for how good he plays strategically and socially he would have been gone a long time ago. Rob win if he's in the end then with two members from his original tribe. To big if's there but I think that will happen.

He definitely goes into a memorable catergory of "characters" for me, such as Coach, Shane (I think it was his name, but he believed a rock was a blackberry), and Rupert.

I also enjoyed watching Phillip find his shorts. That was pretty impressive.

I was rooting for him to find them. But I pretty much root for Phililp in anything he does, especially when his full-blooded Cherokee great-grandfather is advising him.
