Rob sounded like he was wondering if Phillip is playing everyone and whether it is a good idea to take him to the end.

 

Ya'll are probably tired of me singing Rob's praises because I have been from Day 1, but I feel like this episode helped to show Rob's genius. Granted, I am sure there was some great editing as well. But for him to pick up on what Phillip is doing really shows how strong of a mental game that Rob plays. So solid. Plus he truly leaves it all out there. I love the way he plays the game.

 

A little more on Phillip. I think Phillip can make a case to get some votes if he does this. First, he has to be overwhelmingly convincing that all of his shenanigans were an act. That his strategy from day one was to annoy people so much that they would all want to carry him to the end. I want him to cite numerous examples of stuff he thought out long in advance and how it played out perfectly. In regards to the race issue he brought up I think since he has played the card he must continue to play it and actually I don't think that part was an act (not for sure if any was or not just speaking hypothetically). I also think a sincere apology to Steve is needed that basically states if his words had no malice then Phillip is sorry he brought up the race issue. Furthermore, he needs to make the jury realize why he acted the way he did when it happened (which is a very valid reaction).

 

If Phillip is to win there are some things he can NOT do either. First and foremost he needs to keep his late great Cherokee grandfather out of it. If he brings him up then I don't see him convincing many people that any of this was an act or part of a bigger strategy.

 

Whatever happens I will strongly be rooting for Phillip to make the final 3 because no matter what route he goes it will be pure TV bliss.

 

I obviously want Rob to win. However, with that said if Phillip makes it to the Final 3 and he comes across as this extremely polished individual (basically a 180 of who he's been all season), tells him it was all an act from day 1. And that it was his mater plan, from Grandpa, to ugly panties, and everything. I think I'd vote for him to win. And I'd really believe he was this CIA Secret Agent or whatever it is lol. I'd be stunned, but if he really is a secret agent, I can see it happening.

Is there a rule with the family time that says it has to be your parents or a sibling? I love my family but if I have to miss a visit with my mom, dad or sister to curry favor amongst other castmates for future votes then I'd do it in a second. If it is my wife then I am taking that time with my wife all to myself and the rest of you can hate me. I noticed there wasn't any significant others for the visit. All parents and siblings except for Ralph who had a friend. If I can't see my wife it is a pointless visit for me. Not saying Mike's choice will help him out any but I can understand passing up a chance to see loved ones if it isn't your significant other.

 

You can tell we've watched many seaons (I've never missed an episode, thank you online videos) but I caught and wondered the same thing when none of them had wives or husbands. If I ever got to play I woudln't bring my wife, mother, or anything like that. I'd bring my little brother for sure. Not cause we are super close and it would lift me up emotionally but because he's extremely smart, athletic, and competitve. A lot of times it seems like the family members are involved in a challenge (they weren't this year) and I'd want to set myself up for the best way to win. Put me on an island for 30 days and my feelings might change, especifially if I were married. But given my circumstances...I'd easily pick him.

What is the feeling on Redemption Island? How are they going to wrap it up? Personally, I think it has run its course. I really don't want it to go any longer. They should do a final challenge this week and then get whoever is left back into the game. Is it possible they will do a group challenge of the RI survivors versus the remaining survivors? I am not seeing how they are going to play this out in a fair manner. If they carry the RI survivor down to the final 4, that is not a good thing IMO. Anyone have thoughts or ideas?

No clue at all but I am with you. I hope it ends soon. I don't want to see the sole survivor of RI automatically get a spot in the final 4.

I'm going to guess Mike makes it back into the game, then is promptly voted right back out. I also think Rob needs to get rid of Grant tonight if he doesn't win immunity.

I thought around this time Jeff usually says this is the last tribal council you can use your immunity idol. If Rob keeps it another Tribal Council, no way he dont get in the finals.
