I actually have enjoyed this season thoroughly. Still don't know where I stand on RI. Waiting to see how it affects the end of the game but I have enjoyed watching a tribe stick to the plan and completely eliminate the other tribe before they start blindsiding themselves. That is how it should be everytime. It was awesome to see it finally play that way, IMO.

Is there a rule with the family time that says it has to be your parents or a sibling? I love my family but if I have to miss a visit with my mom, dad or sister to curry favor amongst other castmates for future votes then I'd do it in a second. If it is my wife then I am taking that time with my wife all to myself and the rest of you can hate me. I noticed there wasn't any significant others for the visit. All parents and siblings except for Ralph who had a friend. If I can't see my wife it is a pointless visit for me. Not saying Mike's choice will help him out any but I can understand passing up a chance to see loved ones if it isn't your significant other.

I can't remember what season it was but I know Russell's wife was his family time person. I believe the challenge had something to do with buckets of water.

Mark it down. Grant will DOMINATE any swimming challenge if one comes. I'm of the belief that Grant will dominate any pure physical challenge.

I agree. Grant could make it to the final 3 based off of his ability to win immunity in physical challenges. Much like the surfer dude(already forgot his name...hated him but I respected his strong finish) did in the last Survivor.

I also think Rob's tribe is stupid if they don't seek to eliminate him as soon as he doesn't win immunity. It would flush out the idol because I don't think Rob would be blindsided at this point. One person would tell him but at some point they have to make an effort to keep him from making the top 3. It still seems like no one is trying to make that move. I guess after how he did Matt his presence is very intimidating but at some point that has to cross their minds. I like how Rob said all they have to do is talk to each other and I am screwed. If Rob makes the final 3 I don't see how anyone couldn't vote for him.

I will say I was pretty surprised that Phillip seemed cognizant of what his ONLY strategy is at this point. Makes me wonder how much of his behavior was an act. I do think his big problem was the race issues, right or wrong I think that left a sour taste in most of the other tribe.

 

One problem I see with a lot of the jury members is with the exception of David I don't believe many of them will credit good strategy unless it's completely smacking them in the face a la Rob.

I could see some decent cases being made by a couple of people. But I agree that as of now Rob has my vote.

On Mike's decision, I am going to say it was easier for him to give that reunion up than most. Being an Iraq war veteran, I would guess he has been through that "family reunion" and departure a few times. He almost has been through training to give that up IMO.

 

I thought that challenge was one of the most demanding challenges ever on Survivor. That was really a physical challenge ... and Grant didn't win. So I wouldn't say Grant is a sure winner in a physical challenge at all. That may have been Grant's chance to win immunity and get rid of Rob and he missed it. The rest of the challenges most likely will not be that physical as they usually don't put real physical challenges in the end of the game.

 

I think they may have given us something to think about last night in the strategy clips with Phillip and Rob. Rob sounded like he was wondering if Phillip is playing everyone and whether it is a good idea to take him to the end. And Phillip said he has an argument to use at the end that no one is thinking about. What if Phillip is in the final three and he says his behavior was all strategy. He acted crazy and ticked people off to make sure everyone would want to take him to the end. He can say he played a game no one has ever played on Survivor and it worked. I think that could be a strong argument if that is his plan.

A little more on Phillip. I think Phillip can make a case to get some votes if he does this. First, he has to be overwhelmingly convincing that all of his shenanigans were an act. That his strategy from day one was to annoy people so much that they would all want to carry him to the end. I want him to cite numerous examples of stuff he thought out long in advance and how it played out perfectly. In regards to the race issue he brought up I think since he has played the card he must continue to play it and actually I don't think that part was an act (not for sure if any was or not just speaking hypothetically). I also think a sincere apology to Steve is needed that basically states if his words had no malice then Phillip is sorry he brought up the race issue. Furthermore, he needs to make the jury realize why he acted the way he did when it happened (which is a very valid reaction).

 

If Phillip is to win there are some things he can NOT do either. First and foremost he needs to keep his late great Cherokee grandfather out of it. If he brings him up then I don't see him convincing many people that any of this was an act or part of a bigger strategy.

 

Whatever happens I will strongly be rooting for Phillip to make the final 3 because no matter what route he goes it will be pure TV bliss.

I agree Grant messed up on the puzzle and that is what cost him. But he wanted that win bad. He sprinted up the stairs with that last puzzle piece trying to catch Rob. Grant went as hard as he could and got beat in a challenge that was one of the most physical ever on Survivor.

That physical challenge was very demanding. I can only imagine how they felt after that.

We need to be neighbors, Duke games and Survivor :lol:. The main reason I said this has been a terrible season for survivor is because it just seems too boring. Noone is making any moves outside of Rob, there is no back stabbing, lying, nothing that makes survivor, survivor. As for the tribe sticking together, I honestly cant remember any time where a tribe has done that and stayed together as long as they did, but then again they didnt have the puppet master Rob leading them.

Rob has been awesome this year. To think I didn't like him when this season started.

And she was the BRIGHT one! The other two bimbos don't have a clue.

 

I made the same comment. It's funny because some seasons it seems like every challenge involves water, this year there are none. I was assuming it was based on their location for some reason.
