To each his own. I am just glad Rob won because he deserved to win. I could care less what kind of human being he is or how he talks in the confessionals. He spoke his mind. I'd rather see people speak their mind than be politically correct and fake anyways.

I quit really caring who won a few weeks ago, so last night I just said I'd see who was left and pick one. When it came down to Rob, Natalie and Philip, I knew it would be Rob. Everyone in his tribe should be kicking themselves, because if at any point they quit acting like sheep and played the game, Rob wouldn't have been sitting there. There were plenty of opportunities. Even if they knew he had the idol, they could have made him use it earlier, then picked him off later. The warning signs were all over, and everyone in the other tribe warned them.

 

I thought the jury was pretty decent. I know Julie came off "salty", but I got what she was saying, and to some degree I agree with her. Natalie was pathetic the whole game. She was no threat whatsoever at any point. Of course, that worked well for Rob's game, but if someone in that tribe had just "gotten it", then she could have been gone much earlier, and the whole dynamic would have been changed. If they didn't think they could get Rob out, they needed to start picking off his cohorts one by one, then go for him.

 

I hope Matt comes back sometime. I know everyone hated him, here on BGP, but for the love of God! I'd have probably had a melt down if I'd have been out on a flippin' essentially by myself for almost a month. He didn't do well in the social game, but never really had the chance to prove he could do better. He was a formidable opponent in the duels though, and I think would have given the tribe a run for their money in the individual challenges for immunity.

 

Other than Matt, I'd say my second tier I'd like to see come back are Ashley and Grant.

 

All that being said, Rob clearly deserved to win. I have no idea how he did it, but he got them all to buy into his game and essentially cruised from there. That's what needed to be done. And frankly, as to what he was saying in the confessionals...what did he say that wasn't true? Other than he was no ordinary man? :lol:

My thoughts exactly Bluto. I totally felt like she was about say "No". The whole thing was awkward from the setup with Jeff Probst, to the proposal, and her response. Very awkward.

I wonder if Rob had not won would he get another chance? He should have won after 4 tries. I don't think they should bring back anyone who has had their chance. It gives them an advantage over everyone else that is there for the first time. Rob played the best game but he has had a lot of practice the others hadn't had.

Had the tabels been turned on the first day that the 50/50 Rob/Russell flip for the tribe gone the other way, I feel Rob would have been gone early like Russell. When you have the numbers early on against you, it's hard to overcome. Russell never had a chance with his tribe.

I think Rob played a good game but your bias is showing through BIG TIME with that statement. Rob's tribe IDOLIZED him and that is one of the huge reasons he was able to control them like he did. The reason they idolized him is because he had played the game before. In this case, Rob's prior experience helped a lot more than it hurt.

I kind of agree. Rob learned to keep his condescending remarks to himself which made him likable to his tribe whereas Russell was still the same old Russell. If I was playing with former members I would play to eliminate them immediately. You have to, so in that aspect I can see how it should have hurt Rob. He was in the right place at the right time. Unlike Russell.

 

After even more time to think about Grant and his emotions....he really should have known better than to get all wrapped up emotionally with Rob. Rob has been on 4 times now and Grant still got blindsided by the biggest blindsider to ever play the game. If I am on Survivor with Russell and we become "buddies" and he is calling me an idiot in confessionals and I get blindsided then Russell is right. I am an idiot. I am even less sympathetic for anyone on Survivor today than what I was the other day and I wasn't sympathetic then.
