April 18, 201115 yr Author A lot of people hate on Rob for playing the game the way he does and consider him a villian...but in reality, he's kinda the only one in the entire game even playing right now.
April 18, 201115 yr Not sure why people dislike Rob....He's playing the game, and he's not doing it in a dirty backstabbing manner either. As long as one of the morons (Ralph, Jane, Steve, Matt) don't win, I won't be too upset. I think at this point, Rob or Phillip will win though.

He's playing the game better than the others? Well, DUH. I think most people who root against Rob this season are, in reality, venting our frustation @ CBS for pitting him & Russell against a bunch of inexperienced players. Russell would be getting some of the flak, but, thankfully, his team was smart enough to give him the boot.

I liked Rob in earlier seasons but this one is just too much. This season is basically called the Rob show.

Yeah, they look great now.

It couldn't POSSIBLY be that they lost 3 challenges after that on their way to the merge.... I know what you're thinking: surely, they would have won those challenges if they had kept Russell; after all, he was SUCH an inspiration and unifying factor for them....

No. I didn't say that but the current setup of the game would be completely different if Russell and his two girls were still there. Could be a completely different set of members on the tribe. Someone else could be on RI. Russell's tribe winning just 1 of the last 3 challenges changes the whole game. Then when you add in how devious and crafty Russell is there is a chance that there is no Cult of Rob because Russell is crafty enough to blow that up as well. The only person smart enough to out fox Rob was Russell and he is gone. Noone from the other tribe is smart enough to beat Rob and to act like it wouldn't be a completely different game if Russell was still there is faulty. You are letting your disgust for Russell cloud you brain. Ralph is no match for Rob.

I think the fact that Rob had been on the show for a couple of different seasons put him at a huge disadvantage to start the game. People know his personality and playing style before they even spoke to him. That just goes to show how truly great of a Survivor player he is. Russell, well not so much. I don't think its so much about Russell's tribe was just so much smarter than Rob's. I feel like its because Rob is just so much better at the social game than Russell. I think that was even proven this season when you saw how they handled themselves. I was pumped when they announced Rob would be on the show again. He's great for CBS, whether you like him or not because he keeps it entertaining.

Maybe there is action happening that we don't see because of editing. But this current tribe doesn't even seem to be trying to get into Rob's cult and work on them. There was the effort by Ralph to talk with Andrea and Phillip but I don't recall any other efforts like that being shown. And then at Tribal and in clips the other tribe's members talk about Rob's cult like they have no chance. Every season we see players go down without a fight. Last season it was the Asian lady who wouldn't even speak up for herself at Tribal. There are situations like that every season. I would pester every member of Rob's cult until I found a crack in the armor. I would follow them to the water hole. I would sit with them at the fire and try to stir up conversation. These players seem to have given up on trying and are just hoping someone comes to them or something miraculous falls into their laps.

Which is exactly why it was dumb to throw the challenge to vote off Russell. He was the master instigator and I truly believe he would have swayed Grant into believing he we going to be blindsided like Matt was. Grant is there for the taking and Russell will likely explain all of this at the reunion special.:lol:

April 21, 201115 yr I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed that a couple of the Rob Cult didn't flip and oust Phillip. He has now usurped Ralph as the creepiest player of the season. Those pink undershorts! :eek: That crazy rant! :eek:
