Can someone please fill me in on how the voting went last night?

 

Well obviously they merged...

 

I believe Matt voted for Steve

Rob's old tribe all voted for Matt

The other old tribe all voted for Grant

Can someone please fill me in on how the voting went last night?

All of Team Rob voted for Matt. Matt voted for Steve. All of Team "Formerly Russell" voted for Grant (to weaken Rob and get him out next). Matt went back to Redemption Island.

I should add that somehow Team Rob flushed out the Idol on Team Formerly Russell.

First tribal council after the merge.......

 

First 5 votes are for Grant.....

 

Next vote for Steve

 

Next 6 votes for Matt which sends him back to Redemption Island.

 

 

The tribes voted their party lines and Matt was going back with his original tribe and was blindsided after running his mouth to Rob and confessing his plan to Rob to get rid of Rob. His fate was then sealed.

David's reaction was awesome. I could see him trying to work something out with Rob in the upcoming week or two out of respect, who knows lol. But definitely a smart move by Rob to get Matt out of there. I still can't believe his team just blindly does whatever he wants, and I was a little surprised Andrea followed, but it was awesome!

 

I love the conversation between Grant and Rob last night...

"I just feel bad because he is such a good Chrstian guy"

"Well, he can be a good Chrisitian guy on Redemption Island."

And Matt is an absolute fool. He and Andrea really did have a great planned lined up until he started opening his mouth.

That was fantastic. I openly laughed multiple times during this episode. I also liked when Rob had the conversation about how he couldn't add anything to the Christian Coalition.

 

And don't forget that Rob convinced the merged tribe to adopt a name that A) is make believe and B) not even remotely Spanish sounding. I honestly thought someone with even a rudimentary understanding of Spanish would call him out on it.

Speaking of Phillip, he's Samurai speech at the Redemption Challenge and then the rant he gave at Tribal Council were both laugh out loud moments. But when he told Probst he had "rhythm" I nearly lost my drink.

I keep saying, Phillip is going to go really far and it's looking that way.

 

As long as Rob's group stays together, they should have no problems getting rid of the rest of the others. I'd definitely go Ralph next.

I can't recall any player ever in Survivor totally dominating a season like Rob is this one. He is reading the players and making great moves every week. He has an immunity idol and no one else even knows he has it. Voting off Matt was a great move because 3 more days and Andrea would have flipped with Matt to the other tribe. The former Russell tribe is looking more like buffoons with every episode. Last night was a total disaster for them. Plus, they have completely isolated themselves so no hope of getting anyone from Rob's tribe to jump on board. Next week's show is the turning point for them in this game. All they need to get is one person from Rob's tribe to flip and they can change the game around. Phillip is their best bet but I don't know if any of them have enough insight to make it happen. If they can get one person to flip, keep their mouths shut and blind side Rob, the game is wide open from there on out. Personally I hope it doesn't happen because they have played so horribly I would hate for anyone from that group to somehow win. Perhaps David if he can make a move or two the rest of the way. On the other hand, in Rob's tribe the only two that deserve to win at this point are Rob or Grant and perhaps Andrea if she keeps it going. She has done a good job working her way into the tribe after being at the bottom of the pecking order early. I would hate to see one of the spa girls win. If Phillip wins, you have to start questioning the game itself. But Phillip is very entertaining and I can see him winning favorite player this season.

If Matt makes it out of RI just go ahead and give him the money.

 

The previews of next week's show seemed to show that Grant may be the one flipping.

I agree, I don't see how Matt couldn't win the "Favorite Survivor" award on sympathy alone.

 

I question why Ralph gave up the idol because nothing this week really showed that he should have. Maybe the producers love something out during editing because from what we saw, that was just dumb.

 

I think that Rob is a genius. I've been saying it long before this season that he is my all-time favorite Survivor and he's proving why this season. I love the way he plays the game. I guess you could say that I cheer for the villians too, but I don't feel like Rob is as much of a villian as he's made out to be. He's just a really smart player!
