I think it was the right move by that tribe getting rid of Stephanie. The way she handled herself at the tribal challenge reinforced how divisive she is. If she had stayed, that tribe would have split up big time. David and Stephanie would have been a team and worked on gaining someone else in an alliance. It isn't like Stephanie was that much better than the other lady in challenges. Stephanie was the one launching the balls in the challenge where her tribe got destroyed, right?

If I was stuck out there even I would be reading the Bible non-stop. I'd probably have it memorized if I was stuck on Redemption Island as long as he has been.

I can't wait for SOMETHING to happen to that tribe. The producers have to be really struggling to find something interesting to show with them. Because right now, with the exception of David and maybe Ralph I find them all to be so boring that I honestly don't care what happens to them. David also seems to be the only one with enough intelligence and the certain amount of deceit required to win the game.

 

In all honesty the first thing that's happened to the tribe I found interesting since Russell left was seeing Mike get ABUSED by Grant. By the third point scored I was openly laughing. Though it doesn't help that Mike is definitely towards the bottom of likeable characters for me, plus he comes off as plan 'ol dumb.

My wife brought up a good point. Rob and Grant should have lied to Phil and told him they were trying to get his attention but he missed the signs or something. Luckily he is too crazy for anyone to believe but when he gets voted out he is going to run his mouth on Rob.

I'm in the "indifferent" camp towards Russell...but if I would've known this is what he left behind I definitely would've been more upset. I have enjoyed watching Rob this season (in the past not as much).

 

Besides Rob, I think David and Matt have good shots at it. Matt because he is obviously very strong at challenges and is making no enemies while on Redemption Island (though Andrea did seem mildly like a lover scorned). David just seems to have what it takes--though he can be too outspoken at times. I would have put Grant in here, but he seems to follow Rob too blindly a lot of times and I thnk he will end up getting a knife in his back. I think Andrea is a nice dark horse candidate. Seems smart, she's pretty (which helps), and she helps in camp and challenges. Also once the merger happens it always seems like they have a run of challenges that girls excel at. Ralph I could consider here, but part of me thinks he will do one of two things, A) begin to irrate people a lot OR B) think he is smarter than he actually is.

 

I like Phil and think he adds a lot to the season but in no way will he win as he is WAY too outspoken. The two other girls besides Andrea in the orange tribe (don't have a clue who they are) haven't shown anything that remotely leads me to believe they have any chance. Mike is an idiot so I'm eliminating him. And Steve just seems to lack the cajones to make a bold move. Julie I almost put in the "maybe" category but like Steve I think she is just too nice though I could see here flying under the radar and getting to the end with one of the chief backstabbers which could earn here a lot of "at least she didn't play me" votes. Sarita is way too weak in all areas to have a shot in my mind. And while Stephanie is technically still in the game I think Matt takes her out at the challenge and even if she gets put back in she is much too abrasive to have any chance of sticking around long.

Good breakdown. I completely agree with all of it except I am a firm Russell fan. I never was a Rob fan but when he faked digestive problems and found the idol I decided to stick around and see if he can finally win. I just wonder how Phil will sabotage Rob and Grant since he caught them reading the clue. I'd like to see Rob win. He is playing all of them and to me that is hilarious. I'd love to see his tribe watching the show now.

This season has been pretty entertaining thus far.

 

I've always been a huge Rob fan, and thus far he's played a flawless game. Hopefully he finally wins.

 

I'd bet money that David will flip to the other side as soon as a merge occurs. He realizes he's at best 5th in the pecking order of their 6, and will be looking to make a move here soon IMO.

 

I also think Stephanie beats Matt this coming week. Just a hunch.
