February 6, 201115 yr Bugs Bunny/Looney Tunes are my favorite. Tom and Jerry is up there too. Does anyone know why Looney Tunes are not all TV anymore? I haven't seen any in several years. A new generation of kids is really missing out on the best cartoons ever made.
February 7, 201115 yr I really liked several of those Nick cartoons from a few years back. Doug, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, Belle and Sebastian, eal Monsters. But my favorite of those by far was Ren and Stimpy. I think me and you would get along real well. I've been watching Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, and Ren and Stimpy on Netflix for the past few weeks. I think I enjoy RML more now than I did as a kid.

Keenan and Kel was the best of them, but I also liked (I know, I may have to turn in my man card) Clarissa Explains it All and Hey Dude.
February 8, 201115 yr With a little one in the house, it's been cool to see her adopt my favorite cartoons as a kid: Scooby Doo & Tom And Jerry. I often catch myself telling my daughter, "I remember watching this one when I was a kid."

February 8, 201115 yr Many of the older cartoons are deemed too politically incorrect for these times. For real? How so? I've never considered that. Could it be because the ACME company would file suit or something?

Could it be because the ACME company would file suit or something? I think, ultimately, in the case of Tom and Jerry, it has to do with the "Mammy" character whose face we never see but who is always whipping Tom with the broom. In both cases, the liberal use of blackface as a humor piece after an explosion. Other cultural representations have come under fire as well, such as bearded and barefoot hillbillies, buck-toothed and squinty-eyed Japanese or other Asians, etc.
