Couldn't have said it better CV. We have already faced teams like this especially Hoptown plus Milan Tenn in a scrimmage. Bardstown fans like talk about how your going to deal with their team, Mayfield will have much respect for Bardstown but Mayfield will be more than a handfull for any Ky class A squad.

Bardstown is undefeated, #1 ranked and just knocked off in convincing fashion the flagship program in class A in Danville.

Thanks Hearsay for the comment about Calhoun...he sounds like a real player...I can't wait to see him in person this Friday as well as the rest of your Tigers team...should be a heck of a game as both teams will no doubt face their toughest test all year in each other. Should be an old-fashioned "slobber-knocker" of a game.

Beechwood is a 90's phenomenon. Ads/Mayfield have been slugging it out for 30+ years.

Will be a good game. Hope Bardstown isn't getting as blown up as their fans are. I wasn't real impressed Friday. Yeah I know they won......but take away the 3 turnovers.......two unforced it would have been a different game.

What examples can you show of us being "blown up?" We have shown nothing but the highest regard for both Danville and Mayfield from the final tick on Friday until this very moment, but we are "blown up?" Your team was the ultimate in class the other night, I think they recognized an impressive victory.

Danville has been in Class A for seven seasons. In that time, the Admirals have won three state titles, Beechwood has two and Mayfield has one. Both Beechwood and Danville have been in the finals four times.

 

By that criteria, Danville has taken over the flag, or at least a big chunk of it.

Uh, Hopkinsville and Paducah Tilghman aren't fast?

B-Town in a close one

I think Mayfield needs a low-scoring game. From the sound of things, Bardstown has as much or more team speed than any A or 2A team in the state. The Cardinals can keep the score down by playing their typical ball-control game, and for that they have to control the line of scrimmage. I just don't see how Mayfield can win a track meet with the two-time state champs in track.

 

Considering the way Bardstown beat Danville, I would say they are the favorite.
