How about Peter Sutton a few years back from CovCath. Was he offered or even looked at by Ky. Yeah I know....He didn't play College ball that I know of and that was his personal choice, but I'm curious if Ky was even in the mix with an offer. The kid had the physical size to and talent to play somewhere at Ky....

Sutton could've played college football, but sweeperboy said that NKY has become a hot bed for Big 10 schools & other schools. I would disagree with that.

 

I just dont get why KY wouldnt be the first to offer. Alot of kids with his ability get lots of offers and it is not uncommon for a kid to commit to the first school that offered him in the end just based on loyalty, especially if its your home state University. NKY has quietly slipped away from Kentucky's sights and have become a hot bed for Big Ten schools and others.

 

Congrats to Towles. Like others, I found it a bit surprising that this was his first offer. I'm sure many will follow.

I saw him for the first time out of football gear this week. You really appreciate how much size modern D1 QBs have. He's a thick kid.

I believe this offer says alot about Patrick Towles, Charlie Strong is a great recruiter and hits the recruiting trail hard. Hopefully more offers come this young mans way.

Understatement of the year. The kid put on 50 lbs in 2 yrs and grew 3 inches.

I too love to see this. Where is Kentucky? Typical, very typical. Pat just might win Mr Football next yr and Ill bet a dollar to a donut he doesnt sign with KY. Too bad, until KY starts recruiting NKY kids then the kids will simply just go elsewhere and who can blame them.

I guess it would not be right not to give props to Coach Strong and Louisville for fullfilling their duty. Good for them.

 

Isn't the saying "you offer the kids you don't think you can get first" when it comes to recruiting? If UK wants him, I'm sure they will give him plenty of love.
