Gym shorts all year round drives me crazy... If you're wearing ball shorts and a hoodie, something is wrong with that picture.

Ball shorts in any setting other than a basketball court, actually. Can't do it!

It is never appropriate to wear Ed Hardy gear...ever.

True.

There may have been a window where it was OK, but the window was very brief. :D

In the winter, sweaters or sweater vests with shirt and ties are a must for the workplace (if it's permissible of course).

A definite do not....Do not wear a normal jacket/coat over a suit jacket in the winter. It looks trashy. That's what overcoats are for. They're called overcoats for a reason.

Too long is equally as bad. The bottom of the tie should come to the middle of your belt.

I know it's only the difference of +/- an inch, but I was always told that bottom of your tie should line up with the top or the bottom of your belt buckle.

Weird one. I always wear an undershirt....and it's always tucked into my boxers.

One of my grandmas used to say "a gentelman always wears an undershirt"...and accordingly she gave all of her sons and grandsons undershirts along with their regular Christmas and birthday presents. With 4 sons and 14 grandsons, I wonder how much money she burned through on undershirts over the years.

I always wear an undershirt though. Even when I was still a field worker on 100° days...I wore undershirts. I don't feel like I'm completely dressed if I don't have one on.

Skinny jeans are the worst. Everytime I see someone wearing them I want to punch them in the face.

I can't remember the last time I didn't wear an under shirt. I feel naked without one.

Not sure about tucking it into the boxers though.

Up until I moved to Florida, I always wore an undershirt and felt the same way you did. After the first summer of smothering through the humidity, I quit and got used to not wearing one. After 30 years here, I feel really uncomfortable when I have to wear one, now.

Jim Tressel?
Black dress shoes, black belt. Brown dress shoes, brown belt. Black shoes and belt (not brown) with navy suit.

I was recently told that you're supposed to wear brown shoes with a navy suit. Apparently it doesn't really matter, but that's the appropriate "style".

Undershirts that go past the top shirt on the sleeves.

That's happened to me a few times & it drives me nuts. I think it's so tacky, but when I buy a new white undershirt I want it to be big enough. Before I wash (and dry) it, sometimes its sleeves sneak out.

I have started wearing Under Armour as my under shirt. They are awesome as under shirts. They are right on you body and stay tight all the way down so it won't bunch up above the belt.

Same here Ive been doing that since this summer. I need to go get a few more.

I think guys need to have a MUCH better understanding of what a properly fitting shirt actually is. Too often I see people with dress shirts that are MUCH to big. Also, don't be afraid of the tailor...

If I had one rule, this would be it. I constantly see people wearing shirts, pants, and especially suits that come nowhere close to fitting. Buy the correct size and have it tailored.

I think most everything else is pretty subjective. For instance, I would never wear tennis shoes with jeans, but some people can do it.

I'm not sure which is more appropriate, but brown shoes are definitely meant for and look better with a navy suit. I even wear brown shoes with grey suits sometimes.
