It's kinda funny to see the different combinations people go with when they put on the navy slacks or suits. Brown doesn't look nearly as nice or professional, but it sure looks a heck of a lot better than mixing. If they're going to screw it up, they should at least be consistent. :lol:

Gym shoes are to be worn with t-shirts and t-shirts only. Nothing IMO looks more tacky than someone wearing a nice polo or button up with jeans and a pair of gym shoes.

I saw a picture of a guy wearing nice 3-button suit coat but he only had the top button buttoned. Yikes. That's a fashion rule violation in my book. It got me to wondering what rules you folks live by.

 

I say a sports coat/suit coat always has the bottom button unbuttoned.

 

Gig line , of course. That one drives me nuts when I see it.

My employer brought in fashion consultants during a kickoff ceremony type deal to a new service program we started, anyway...The consultants rule for buttons was from the Top down. Sometimes, Always, Never.

I call the Polo shirt, jeans and gym shoes the KY suit, kind of piggy backing off the Canadian Tuxedo.

In my experience, over-sized snowsuits drive the ladies crazy...

Don't get me wrong if I go to a bar I usually wear dress shoes with my jeans but the gym shoes don't bother me to much if they look decent.

At my brother's wedding, one of his now-brother-in-laws wore his good Jordans to the church, as well as his best pair of mesh basketball shorts, and one of his dress sleeveless shirts (those are the kind that are factory-hemmed at the shoulder instead of just having the sleeves cut off once you buy them). I should also add that dude weighs about 4 bills...
