Bengals Offseason Thread

If we lose Lewis Things will stay the same...Marvin wont stay if certain things like how the organization operates stays the same, including more control over roster decisions. So I like Lewis and hope he stays. If not Brown will find a new puppet.

Humm... I wonder if Mikey Boy caved in.

Wow! Not sure what to think about that? Brat has to go. Doesn't he?

I am going to flip the heck out if there isn't some changes made. Practice bubble, player decisions, coaches, or just anything.

The pattern has been, any late season success translates into very few offseason changes. They take the fools gold to bank, and are surprised when the bank doesn't accept it. Guess we'll find out.

I would like the Bengals to get Vince Young he is either going to be cut or traded. They should trade the Palmer's for him.

^I'd like to see the Bengals get Vince as well. No, scratch that, I'd LOVE to see them get him! :D

I think Jeff Fisher would make that trade in a heartbeat...which is exactly why the Bengals SHOULDN'T do it.

Sign Kitna to back up Carson.

Resign Cedric

Draft a LT in 2nd RD (none worthy in 1st) & move Whit to LG

Move Smith to RG & Collins to RT

Resign Kelly to league minimum to go with Gresham & Coffman

Let Chad & TO go; go with Simpson, Caldwell, Shipley, Cosby, and draft one in 3rd-5th

Draft Bowers or Fairley to play RE opposite Dunlap

Let Tank, Odom, & Rucker go

Resign Fanene to league minimum

Move M. Johnson to Sam and Rey to middle

Resign Brandon Johnson

Resign Dhani to league minimum

Resign Joseph

Let Roy, Ndukwe go

#1 Free Agent Priority- a Safety (don't know if any are available that are worthy)

Draft a Safety as high as 3rd RD (if one worthy)

Not bad ideas, I don't agree with the Whitworth thing though. He really has been one of the best LT's in football the last two years. So why draft a young guy in the 2nd round, and let an inexperienced guy try to protect Palmers backside? Keep Whit at LT, move Smith to guard, Collins RT, and I don't know if there are any out there coming out. But maybe they could find an Eric Steinbach type in the draft for LG.

Whit's pass pro is very suspect; he does not give Carson enough space; he is too much in Carson's face or being pushed back into his legs; he is a good run blocker.

I'm hoping one of the late 1st Rd prospects falls to the 2nd.

He is the best lineman we have right now, and you want to move him? Not to mention you want to trust a guy with no experience to protect Palmer against top pass rushers in just our own division we will see 4 times a year?
