Miles Simpson vs Shaun Alexander

Featured Replies

Simpson might not even gain one yard rushing in college. No comparison in my mind.

Miles Simpson was a good back. Alexander was a great back. Simpson made the cover of a Courier-Journal. Alexander made the cover of Madden.

I still remember when the other Alexander (Curtis) would get the majority of the carries for Bama during SA's soph season. I thought to myself, what is Dubose doing? Then he apparently saw the light and chose SA to be his bell cow.

Simpson isn't even in the same league as Alexander.

SA could be the best back to come out of KY. Simpson probably isn't even in the top 20.

Alexander was said to be in the dog house for some reason. That was until his first something like 3 carries his RS Frosh year went to the house against LSU.

Shaun was a poor practice player and Coach Gene Stallings was a Junction boy, not a good mix.

The LSU game Shaun was the third back behind Curtis/Dennis Riddle. he and his room mate stayed up late playing video games, and felt bad all day. He also forgot his game cleats and had to use his practice ones.

Shaun is still a favorite of the Bama folks.

I still remember that LSU game. I was working 3rd shift at the time and found my self snoozing during the game. I happened to wake up during the first long run, then fell back asleep. I then woke up during the 2nd TD thinking it was a replay of the first one. I think both SA and MS have great football speed, they may not be burners in the forty but they sure have football speed. The five TD game SA had on MNF against the Raiders showed his football speed. One of those runs he out ran a very fast guy by the name of Charles Woodson.

Alexander , It's not even close .

If they had played on the same team Simpson would never get to touch the football unless SA needed a breather.

It's not even close and if you need to ask in which direction, shame on you!

The best running backs I have seen in nky are.

1. Shawn Alexander

2. Justin Frisk

3-10 whoever else..

Frisk? That's funny.
