December 12, 201015 yr I'm guessing that a man with the capabilites of starting in the SEC as a QB would leave some sort of a mark if he punched a 100lb girl no matter where the blow landed. I may be wrong but the circumstances reported didn't seem to be worthy of a suspension to me. I think it's safe to say that the Lexington police didn't target Hartline or treat him unfairly, he has himself to blame and no one else... But knowing his history he probably is blaming others…
December 13, 201015 yr I wonder how many UK fans could be charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct on game days. I would say a significant amount. This probably had to be done but Hartline gets a raw deal here. From what I heard from a person that was at the party, he is getting everything he deserves.
December 13, 201015 yr From what I heard from a person that was at the party, he is getting everything he deserves. Yep, and actually deserves more. The story will probably come out later.
December 13, 201015 yr Doesn't UK have some kind of zero tolerance policy in place? Ever since Tim Couch's buddy got killed back in the late 90's?
December 13, 201015 yr I heard he's dropping out of school, moving into a college apartment with Billy Gillespie and Larry Eustachy, and joining the Bengals practice squad.
December 13, 201015 yr Did the cheerleader get suspended or does anyone know? No. (I know because Bluto, Jr. is one of the cheerleaders)
December 13, 201015 yr You guys have the story all wrong. Hartline deserves all the punishment he gets. PM me. From what I heard from a person that was at the party, he is getting everything he deserves. Yep, and actually deserves more. The story will probably come out later. So anybody going to share?
December 13, 201015 yr Wouldn't mind hearing the story. Was on the road to Philly at 4:30 so heard this one pretty soon after it happened. Course being out of state all weekend without a computer I didn't get to hear much on everything. (anyone willing to PM it that is) I won't throw stones at the kid, I'd say at this point he is probably recognizing the magnitude of his actions. Still, if you are a starting QB for a major university football program (even a mediocre SEC one) you probably need to keep a lower profile. People make mistakes, hopefully he learns from this one as he moves forward in life.
December 14, 201015 yr Did the cheerleader get suspended or does anyone know? Not the most flattering of pics of the young lady----probably a mug shot I would guess.
December 14, 201015 yr ^^^ I'm going out on a limb here, but I would imagine she cleans up real nice.
December 14, 201015 yr I wonder if this little incident means she will no longer bend over backwards for Hartline? :sssh::lol:
December 14, 201015 yr I wonder how many UK fans could be charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct on game days. I would say a significant amount. This probably had to be done but Hartline gets a raw deal here. I disagree, Hartline in no way got a raw deal. Athletes are supposed to uphold a standard and/or certain rules and there are prices to pay when that doesn't happen. "They all do it" is no excuse. These athletes represent the school, program no matter what anyone thinks or wants to believe. Let alone them breaking the law. Joker wouldn't have been much had he not suspended him. I was waiting to see how he would handle this and I 110% agree with the suspension. No way should Hartline play, no one is above the team or the rules set for them. Not even a "legend in his own mind" like Mike Hartline. Hartline is the only one to blame, this is all on him and no one else. ........"you just can't fix stupid". As for fans being drunk and disorderly  ,just what does that have to do with this.? I don't believe that drunken fans or any other fans are getting a free education, room and board to play football andfollow UK team rules. That statement was unbelievable, not much left to say after after that one . Hartline should be thankful that his scholly wasn't revoked for the last semester and him left with the bill for it.
December 16, 201015 yr Rightfully so. I think Joker probably would like to let Mike play, but he has a future to play for, and this would set a precedent. He made the only call that he felt he could.
