December 8, 201015 yr I first want to thank Birdsfan for passing on the info on Mike and want to thank you all for your prayers and support. I will try to let you all know what happened without going into too much detail. You must have a strong stomach to know all the details. Mike ended up with a strangulated bowel. Sat, early evening, Mike let me know that he needed 911 to be called. Let's just say the he ended up in a horrible amount of pain all of a sudden. However, he knew that he needed helpl right away when his large intestine decided to "jump" over his small intestine and make an apperance into the world (through the hole in his colostomy opening.)He took an ambulance to the hospital, went to trauma, went to emergency surgery and ended up with no bowel function at all. The surgery was about 4 hours long and the doctor had to cut off 5 more inches off his small intestine (he does not have much more of the one left because of the radiation and the colostomy). He did this because that much died. Then he had to "stuff" the large intestine back into Mike. Why this happened is really not known. It happens rarely according to the Doctor. That will be as graphic as I will get on that....it really was not as pretty as I made it out to be...but, you get the idea I hope. The Doctor let me know that Mike did not have any bowel function, however, really did not know what to do about that situation. He said that all we could do is pray....other than that, he was trying to figure it all out. I was not really worried about it because all of what PH has been through, I knew that he would beat this as well. When I did start getting worried and knew that we needed more prayers was when the doctor came in yesterday and told us...me...that if bowel functions did not show up by tomorrow, and NG tube as well as more surgery would have to take place...he would cut him open and try to figure out what to do when he was in there.....I did not want Mike to go through any more than he already was, so, that is when I had BF to call in the BGP prayer team. The very wee hours of this morning, yours and more family and friend's prayers started coming to pass. God healed Mike. Bowel functions were detected and activity started....!!! So,again, I want to thank you all and I want to thank God...He gets all the Glory and Praise!!! We are now home...we got here Tues at about 4ish. Birdsfan, I am sorry I did not call you....I was busy trying to get Mike not to check himself out before the doctor could get to the floor LOL..... As far as I am concerned....well, let's just say, what is a little hemorraging and a needed female surgery LOL....It does not seem that big now after what I witnessed with PH. I will be fine and there are so many other people going through so much. I am only happy and proud that God was with Mike....he is my whole world and the reason I find so much pleasure and peace on this world.

But it's sure nice to see what made being a Proud Member of the BGP Family sooo attractive to us in the first place! December 8, 201015 yr You guys have been through so much. I pray that the worst is in the past and better days lie ahead.
